Large portions and the best egg rolls ever. The egg drop soup was very hearty, service excellent, atmosphere moderate and overall great. Will definitely eat there next time we are in town.
I have driven by this place for years and finally stopped in. I was surprised by the large portions and everything was delicious. I wish I would have stopped by sooner. This is now one of our favorite Chinese food restaurants. We had the Hunan shrimp, house lo main, and a combo platter with chicken chow main sweet and sour pork and Hawaiian chicken. The fried rice was delicious and our daughter couldn’t stop eating everything.
I'm disappointed that I can't give it a lower rating. Ordered crisp honey chicken, it was not crisp and didn't taste of any honey. My wife couldn't eat her meal as the beef was tough, and had a liver taste and that was not what she ordered. Soda didn't tastes anything like it was supposed to. Egg drop soup was pretty good. Best part was the fortune cookie, guess you can't screw them up when someone else makes them.
Not great.I was was wanting some American-Chinese take out and saw this place was one of the higher rated places in Edmond. I will say it was not what I was expecting. We ordered sesame chicken, pork lo main, Crab rangoons, and hot & sour soup. The sesame chicken was really disappointing, the sauce was thin and just tasted like soy sauce. The fried rice that came with it was bland, nothing special. And the soup had a weird taste, kind of like old grease. The rangoons and noodles were good, but I've had better. It was was just sad and disappointing. Would not recommend.
My husband and I took our two boys and my mother who was visiting from out of town here for dinner and were seriously disappointed. The service and the food were terrible. Our waitress was extremely slow, unfriendly and unprofessional. It took close to 10 minutes to get her to the table initially to get our drink orders. When we got our food, the fried parts had clearly been refried more than once. They were hard and gross. And another dish was basically just a pile of what looked and tasted like grey, canned chicken. At the end of our meal, she brought us our check and a to go box, then promptly went and sat in a booth to roll silverware. Which would be understandable at the end of the night, or at a time when she didn’t have tables that were clearly ready to pay and leave. After around 10 minutes waiting for her to return to take our payment, my mother ended up getting up and walking it over to her. Food was terrible, service was terrible. I have no clue how this place has good ratings cause it has gone drastically down hill. Would not recommend.
I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews. Nothing we ordered had any flavor. Smelled burnt. Egg roll was really dry, if that makes any since, left mouth feeling dry. Prices high especially for lack of good food. Ate a little bit and ended up throwing 90% of it away. I don't like to give bad reviews but it was necessary on this one. My house now stinks like burn chinese food. ?
Old hard, fried food. Cold noodle dishes an rude services. The waitress took our order an asked "how are you going to pay?" I initially ignored it an thought she might be referring to a split ticket. However a gentleman came over from the other table an asked if I noticed the waitress implied that we couldn't pay. I didn't say anything but it's not the first time I've gotten rude services at BlueMoon. Yes, this is uppity Edmond but this restaurant is nothing to brag about. The painted floor is peeling everywhere an the structure is in desperate need of repair....On a previous Carry Out order, I arrived an the cashier ignored me for 10min with my order sitting on the counter. When you ask to speak to management they tell you they are not available an act like they don't understand English. They also leave the register open so they can take money from multiple transactions and the system only shows one transaction.
This place USED to be Really good and the waitstaff USED to be really friendly. However not so much anymore. The short haired lady that is ALWAYS behind the cash register is very cold and never smiles. I order to go usually anymore and I ask for no msg...she always seems very irritated about that and tells me she doesn't know if I can have it because of the sauces...I just give up and say whatever. She never makes you feel welcome.
We recently moved to Edmond. Heard this was the best Chinese food in town. I ordered orange beef and my daughter ordered orange chicken - both of us enjoyed our dishes. My husband had Kung pao (he always orders that) and he didn’t enjoy his. The wait staff just have been short handed…took a while for them to take our order, get our food, etc. We will try it again and see if it is as good as people say!
They wouldn't substitute shrimp for chicken in the egg foo young in their lunch special, even with an upcharge. So my wife ordered it in a different, but less appropriate, way. The food quality and service is generally better than the last time I ate there.
