I preface this with I used to be a competition judge for several years throughout the Southwest. I've won my fare share of competions. I've tasted amazing BBQ. I've also tasted the worst. What they served up would NOT make it to the judges table. More like the dogs bowl.While the turkey sandwich was moist and edible the Star of BBQ is Brisket and Ribs. I was saddened at the tasteless boiled brisket and boiled ribs. SHAMEFUL. There are NO shortcuts to preparing BBQ. You're selling Billy Sims name only and serving garbage. Never again......
Foods good, was better before possible outsourcing...building could definitely use some repairs/ a cleaning, customer service is declining... Still the best chopped brisket around.
I've gotten food at Billy Sims over the last 10 years being in Edmond but this was the first visit that was kind of horrible I got home and the food was not as good as all the other visits the girl at the window looks sick and disgusted. And I really would like to have corporate know but any other time I visit. There are this Zach Dude and A Kemper dude. I don't know if they still work over there but they need to get them dudes back that's why the place is selling more barbecue because of them. They have good customer service and the food had always been good when those people are working but today it was not good. And I was also served onions and pickles and I've never ever had that before from Billy Sims every time I've ordered the same stuff I've never received that but today I did and it was nasty a lot of onions and pickle. And I also received jalapeno peppers at the bottom of the dish with onions and pickle. Billy Sims should give out military discount for their people because we matter on military.
It's always good! Love the loaded spuds worth $10, I think the sandwiches are over priced at $10+1.99 for brisket , that's a lot for a sandwiche to me! You get nice portions I have to say, the stackers are excellent, cherry cheese cake stacker is my favorite! Vanilla pudding wafer is my 2nd favorite, their expensive to me also at $6.50 total with tax! Bake beans excellent! Potatoe salad good!
Food was excellent, but, the service was even better. Seth and Phillip were exemplary in their customer service. Excellent employees. I’d hire them in a minute.
The ribs are good, but the online ordering is poor. Their finance system will submit any amount you charge using a debit or credit card TWICE in a “pending” status which does not allow you access to YOUR money. Recommend only purchase in store with cash. I sent a complaint to their home office but have received no response. Tomorrow I will contact my bank and file a complaint.
Really disappointed. We’ve been coming there for years!! Once a week. Tonight we got take out. My husband got home and said the prices went up. Our bill was $28 for 2 sandwiches. I checked the website and thought we had been overcharged. So, I called the restaurant and asked the price for a chopped brisket sandwich. The girl told me $12.99.I told her the website says $7.99 for a sandwich. She told me that they had a price increase and they haven’t had time to update their online prices.$12.99 for a sandwich? $5.00 is a terrible price increase for no more than you get. The meat was really fatty and dry tonight. It’s usually juicy and really good!!!I asked if she would kindly tell her manager that we would never be back for those prices.She just stood there and said, “anything else”? Ok. Well that settles that. It really bothers me that she didnt care. Just Horrible.
The food was still good but the price is now extreme.There was an extra $1.99 charge for each sandwich with a side and $2.99 for the 3 meat dinner charged due to "increased prices". That is roughly an extra $9.00 unexpected cost before tax.They did offer a 10% discount due to embarrassment of how expensive the meals were.The bill for what is shown here of 3 sandwiches w/side, a 3 meat dinner, and 2 drinks could be expected to be upwards of $65.
Bleh. Food was kinda greasy. Didn’t feel very fresh. Best thing there is the giant Billy Sims bobble head.
Counters dirty. Suggested scrubbing them to employee-ignored. Chair at table was dirty. Brisket was good but bits of plastic wrap were left in my meat. We arrived shortly after opening. Should have been cleaner. Four stars for food but two for cleanliness. Not sure I will return.
