Good service and pricing along with great food.
The prices are reasonable…the service is good but the food is very bland. It was the equivalent of eating cardboard. The first time I went I had Chicken Alfredo. It was more like soup and was very poorly seasoned…regardless of how much salt and pepper I put on it. I went back a second time and had a standard biscuits, egg and sausage breakfast…which again was extremely bland with very little flavor. The adds placed under the glass on the table were a distraction and was very tacky. This is one of the worst places I’ve tried in the Tulsa area for home cooking. Go to a place like “The Silver Skillet”, Savoy” or “Big Biscuit” for good food!
This place was wonderful! I placed a to-go order 30 min before closing, and I was very impressed with the quality of food and the speed of service. My salad was crisp and fresh, everything was cooked perfectly, and the portions were plentiful. I honestly couldn't find anything wrong with my order. Great job, we will be back
Ive eaten here once before in the past, and it was poor then. For some reason I forgot about it and came back. What a mistake. The food quality is so poor, absolutely no seasoning. And the service was pretty much the same. After sitting down and 15 minutes later we had to ask for our order to be taken. Do yourself a big favor and go somewhere else. Anyone who gave this place a good review simply does not know what good food or service is.
Over the years I have been to this diner many times. During my pre-retirement days the Apple Barrel was one of my go to breakfast and lunch places, I'm not sure why, but I have not been to the Apple Barrel in Broken Arrow in quite some time, Today, I was doing business in the shopping mall where the Apple Barrel is located...so I decided to have a late breakfast. Was it the same as what I remembered? Actually it was better, as my waitress was wonderful, and made my visit excellent. She was extremely friendly while being very professional. She was quite attentive without being bothersome. She kept my coffee cup continuously full...as well as my water glass. My order of a Denver omellete, hash browns, with biscuits and gravy was perfectly prepared, had huge serving portions, and was very tasty. I had forgotten about how big their portion sizes are. After my breakfast at the Apple Barrel today, my dinner tonight consisted of breakfast leftovers! Based on my experience today, the Apple Barrel in Broken Arrow is back in my rotation of "my favorite restaurants."
My family and I were at the broken arrow location less than 30 minutes ago. No one was here when we got here (big red flag) but it was better than the McDonald’s right next to it. We got seated and the waitress took our orders. They mixed up my sister and I’s side dishes. My grandfather ordered a chicken fried steak with no gravy, they gave him a bunch of gravy and so he sent it back.Everyone was eating and 20 minutes later they gave him a chicken fried CHICKEN. So he had to send it back again. The waitress was nice to us but when we sent it back, we could hear the kitchen arguing with her (we were seated right at the front door) saying “first the gravy, now this? They said chicken fried chicken!” (On our ticket, it said chicken fried steak so I don’t know what he was talking about) . We looked and the kitchen staff WERE NOT MASKED OR GLOVED. I am utterly disgusted. The waitress that had us was so nice but to hear the kitchen yelling at her really boils my blood.
Reasonably sure eating there Christmas Day is why I ended up stomach sick and have been since.. Waiter was obviously new and clueless to what was going on. Service was terrible all around. Food was barely warm including one of my sides which was barely over “room temp”… Eat there at your own risk!!
The place was clean and nice. Staff was friendly and nice. Food was pretty good with a wide variety.
Great breakfast, excellent service. The chorizo omelette is amazing.
Challengers of Oklahoma Cruise to Apple Barrel BA tonight, good food too, & they weren't expecting us lol. Our waiter on 5th day on job, he did well. Choices of meals too. Going back in the future.
