Initially I wasn't sure what to rate this place. I got a Cesar salad that was not very good. I also had BBQ chicken wings. The wings were good. Very meaty and so tender you could hardly pick them up without them falling apart. The sauce was unusual but not bad. Very sweet with notes of stinging heat that faded quickly. I'm not entirely sure how I felt about those two items. On the other hand I saw a gentleman order their ribs and they looked quite good.I had two of their fried pies and those were without a doubt very good. I particularly liked the pastry. Crispy on the outside, not dry, and enough texture you can feel yourself biting into it. Really fantastic! Also I was pleasantly surprised that it was not overly sweet.So why 4 stars? Because Norman's gives you what you want. They are not pretentious. They don't claim to be the world's best anything. The wait staff was not only attentive and friendly but they were actually working hard. You don't always see that these days. The BBQ was being cooked on site with wood and smelled great. Lastly a lot of people showed up after work to eat and drink beer. They sat outside talking and laughing. You get a strong sense of community at this place. The people here like what's being done and what's being served. In that sense it's definitely better than average.On a side note they also have semi truck parking which is a real blessing for those that drive them. It's also family owned which is nice. You feel like someone caresSo I suspect you won't be overly impressed with the food, except maybe the fried pies, but overall I think you will have a fun and unique experience.
For what it is and where it is this is easily 5 star. We loved the food and the staff. Make sure you try the fried pies. We appreciated the truck parking too. I’m sorry one of our fellow truck drivers is the kind of entitled selfish idiot that complains about their own mistake of coming when you’re closed, especially since your hours are posted, instead of being thankful having a place to park their truck. It was bad enough to blame someone else for their own screw up, but to leave a poor review because you aren’t open 24 hours a day is a good example of what’s wrong with society today. Thank you so much for providing a safe place to park and a place to eat good food.Pancakes and biscuits with sausage gravy are both highly recommended.
Great little restaurant with the most polite folks. I enjoyed my breakfast but this place definitely has the World's best BLACKBERRY PIE. If you are one of those folks who think you don't like BLACKBERRY pies it's only because you haven't had one from here.
Found this gem the other day we were craving a good burger. Definitely found them at Norman's. The BBQ burger was absolutely delicious, a large well cooked patty, and flavorful, tender bbq on top. The fries were for sure top notch. The house marinara was tasty as well. All in all a great place to eat. Will for sure stop in again soon.

I have a notebook with a list of places like this. The big chain truckstops are noisy and obnoxious I never stop at them. This place is quiet, big lot, clean restrooms, good food, but more than anything friendly, kind sincere workers. It got real cold today. My batteries were weak and truck wouldn't turn over. I saw someone in a car and asked for a jump. No hesitation she drove over we hooked up cables. She told me to sit in the car while we waited. to stay warm. Had a great conversation. Turns out she was the opener for the day. You folks are a real class act! And being a Texan I find it hard to say nice things about Okies, lol, but you couldn't pay me to say anything bad about these here.

Best service I have received in a very long time!!! Only place to stop within MILES. Off the beaten path but WELL worth the extra drive. The spicy Italian hoagie was made with love deeeeeelicious... with the amazing service quality and taste I stopped for breakfast. I was welcomed and received the same amazing experience has the first time. Thank you
Their blackberry turnover was awesome and they always have truck parking.
Great atmosphere, awesome food, but for me service is king and the service here is great. Feels like home. They are friendly and make sure you feel comfortable.
