My food was decent. My salmon was delicious and cooked perfectly but my side was supposed to be sautéed spinach with tomatoes. It was mostly tomatoes with very few spinach leaves. My friend said her fish (the walleye) was flavorless. I hate that she paid $20 for a dinner she didn't enjoy. I was charged more for the special than the price that was listed on the sign. The service was very very slow, but I get that they were busy. If I'd felt that I got good value for my money I'd have given 5 stars ? regardless of the slow service. Our server was very nice and professional. So overall if you don't mind waiting and don't mind small portions for the price you can enjoy the pretty view and have a lovely time there.
My grilled walleye with hot cabbage & Brussels sprouts were delicious, and my husband's tasty 1/2 lb fish & chips were well-prepared and filling. It was a busy evening and waiting to order and be served would have required patience but we were busy photographing the old building and artifacts, views of the Muskingum River from our table, and the calico cat.
I heard good things about the restaurant but I was not impressed. The service could have been better. Ordered fish n chips and the fish was greasy and the batter needed salt. Coleslaw was awful - too much vinegar and too much dressing. The mushroom soup was good, though. Dark inside and not conductive to coversation due to the acoustics. Not handicapped accessible.
Had the fish and chips small size which was a half a pound for $10. Fish was excellent, as was the chips coleslaw and great selection of beer. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. Could sit by the river and enjoy the view. Also a friendly mascot in the form of a tortoiseshell cat that rubbed against our legs.
Heard about Muddy's through FB on an Ohio road trips group & decided to order takeout. Everyone was talking about their good food so my husband and I were excited to give it a try. It's only 28 minutes away so we figured it wouldn't be too long to transport the food from the restaurant back home without it getting soggy. $91 later we had Fish and chips, lobster ravioli, scallops, a kids chicken tenders meal, crab cakes and shrimp and what seemed like 6 lb of onion strings lol. The crab cakes and the lobster ravioli were excellent!! Everything else was meh BUT it was very soggy by the time we got home so after discussing the food we both agreed that fresh in the restaurant it would have tasted great and that's our fault because we do not like to eat inside so transporting fish is a little difficult to do. The kettle chips and mac and cheese were also very good. Prices are a little steep and feeding three people from there is not something I think we'll do often but we would definitely go back. For a Saturday evening it was not packed and there's plenty of parking right outside in a quiet area.
I’m only 14 years of age, and this is by far some of the best food I’ve ever had, the staff is absolutely phenomenal, quick on service and always has a smile, the view is something to remember, fresh and ready at all times, if you’re in the area and hungry I suggest coming here, it’s such a reasonably priced bill for such high quality food that not even large restaurant chains can beat. 10/10
great place... great food ...support local
love it. great staff and owners.
Fantastic experience, our waitress Abby was great, food was great, all 5 of us got different things and no complaints. All of the staff was friendly.. 5 stars for sure!!
Great food and great Service! We were skeptical of the Prime Rib special (other places it seems like a waste of a good Ribeye), but it was very good. So good that we would definitely order it again. The Crab Wontons were excellent and had a very good amount of filling. Perfect appetizer for 2 or 4!
