This was by far the WORST dining experience I have ever had. It started with simply entering the establishment.None of the staff welcomed us upon arrival just a simple pick a seat.No big deal there,Second fun part was simply reading the menu. So many typos on there it was comical.I decided to go with the grilled chicken salad because, how can you mess up a salad.Well.....First off, not sure who's bright Idea it is but it was a good laugh, I got a side salad for....my salad.To my surprise they did the unthinkable, somehow I managed to have a hair in my salad.Brought it up to the waitresses there and they returned 5 minutes later with the bill, no explanations, no apologies, no attempt to give me a new salad or anything.They did take the salad off the bill but customer service was absolutely garbage.I will say this....the bathroom is pretty clean ?♂️
I was real excited to treat my daughter-in-law to lunch at Golden Dawn. I raved about how good it was(I haven't been since the late 80's ). Or pizza order was wrong and the service was poor. I'm sad about that. I was also disappointed that they charge for iced tea refills even when we ordered a meal.I was pleased by the atmosphere, it hasn't changed and was pleasant as I remember.
Had lunch there today it was absolutely delicious wood recommend this place for lunch
Absolutely the best old school pizza I would go back daily for the same thing it was that good.. prices are great beer is cold also great breakfasts only one very small complaint pop is small and they charge for refills
This is a beautiful historic restaurant. The service was very poor, the food was marginal at best. We went for breakfast. It was half empty, not super busy. , 2 out of 3 of us were served cold potatoes, my omelet was like warm, coffee service, well we had to flag the waitress down for refill, we requested water when we ordered our coffee, had to ask another waitress to get 1 glass, not the 3 requested. Then wait 15 mins to get our bill. Like I said, they were not even at 1/2 capacity. Sad.
It’s back! Delicious Jumbo burger and fries. I don’t know how they can keep their prices so low! The place looks beautiful and still has the same retro vibe as before. A gem for Yiu shown!
First time there since re-opening. 2 people had fish sandwich for $9.50 looked like fish sliders. 1 person had pizza was not thrilled at all. I had a mini bowl of chill that was mainly broth, had to add ton of crackers so I felt like I was eating something. Service was not good at all, then she could have been new with no experience. Will not be re-turning. As far as I'm concerned they could have remained closed.
Stopped in for lunch. Ordered a burger it was very mediocre., husband ordered a meatball splash it was completely cold, daughter ordered a blt with an egg she said it was just ok. Fries were Luke warm. Drinks had hardly any ice and service wasn't great. Very disappointed hope they get this worked out the place is amazing
Dining room was crowded when we got there at 7:10. Waitress walked past us 6 TIMES and I had to stick out my arm to get her attention at 7:25 and she got an attitude.Got our drinks first, beer was warm, and then brought us menus. Menu was very limited. Only had pizza, burgers, a chicken salad or fish. Was hoping for old school Italian as advertised on line. Don't post a full menu on your FB page and not have it available!Burgers were from frozen patties and buns were burnt. Soggy fries. Skimpy toppings. Took an hour for burgers.Total dining time FOR BURGERS was 1 1/2 hours.
So happy that they opened back up!! Delicious food, great service, great atmosphere, & very comfortable booths! Upon standing, after sitting for a couple hours, I had no pain in either my back or rear end ?. Absolutely recommend!!
