I have been going to C. Staples since I was a young girl and the place was a little hole in the wall with lines out the door. I've heard from many locals that the sauce is watered down but I like to indulge in those Breast strips when I come to town. Maybe it has changed a bit but the flavor is unique and wonderful. I was going to surprise my dad for Father's day but the establishment is closed until Tuesday. If only they had a C. Staples in Atlanta. They are no longer a hole in the wall either, it looks amazing and in my opinion the signature sauce still tastes amazing.
I never understood why this place isn't super busy. I'm not sure if it's because of the location because honestly I forget about it often but the original owner is the nicest guy ever and I love the BBQ sauce he created! I wish they would move this to boardman or austintown or make another location and I wish some grocery stores didn't stop selling the sauce. :/ I also think it would be awesome if you sold your chicken & BBQ at the fair or fairs around here. I just want to say thank you to the original owner! You are so friendly ans such a gentleman and very talented! Thank you!
I LOVE this place! Everyone was so nice there, and I felt like I walked into a family barbecue instead of a barbecue restaurant. Everyone who worked there was super nice and it made for a great atmosphere overall. The cashier helped me decide on which kind of sauce to get, and her recommendation was exactly what I wanted! The food was as great as the people working there!
I would never tell anyone not to go here, the food is awesome the hot sauce keeps me coming back. The service is inconsistent at best, the jarred sauce they sell is watered down and smells like the original but tastes not as good. I quit buying it. Still a gem. I've been going for over 10 years, and they have always been either really on or really off with the customer service.

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD.. THE LAST ORDER I HAD WAS HORRIBLE RIGHT ALONG WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE/ORDER TAKER WHO PICKS UP THE PHONE SMH!!! THEN I HAD TO ORDER ONLINE. AND FOR THAT IS THE REASON I WILL NOT COME BACK ESPECIALLY WITH THE HORRIBLE TASTE OF THE FOOD... ILL BE AT GALAXY SO FAR... AND THAT IS ALSO WHY I DID NOT GIVE A TIP... PLUS IM GLAD I DID NOT .. HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR?
This was my 1st time eating at Charlie staples. The service was excellent. The young lady that took our order was phenomenal and very pleasant. She was very polite and caring. They were very busy but yet she remained calm and treated everyone with respect and pleasant. The food was very good. I have no negetive feedback. I will definitely return for the food and atmosphere.
