Had Dr. appointment up the road this morning, asked for decent place to eat near by; boy, did we get one! Kathy, our waitress was extremely sociable, efficient, and Johnny on the spot! My only regret, I forgot my leftovers that were going to be my supper! Would not only recommend, but will return when next in area.
Charming Italian restaurant. Salmon is good but the eggplant Parmesan is excellent. My husband got the grouper and crab cake tonight, he was so happy with it. We really loved our server. He was extremely sweet and was very good with our two little girls. He made so many accommodations and was very hands on. Carmela’s is definitely a gem because of the food but their staff is what makes this place next level.
We went there the Saturday before Valentine’s Day ,everything was great . Went today other than the service everything was bad , bread stale, sauce sour like it wasn’t cooked ,chicken franchise tasted like lemon juice and Chicken wasn’t pounded out it was thick and other than lemon it had no flavor . Very disappointing to pay those prices and have a bad meal , unacceptable.
I so want to give them 5 stars, but the last few times we've been there has been disappointing. The Calamari was just plain mushy. Hubs ordered a Ceasar salad with salmon. Salmon was cooked to perfection, but dressing was more vinegar like, and didn't compliment the salad very well. I had a shaved beef sandwich with mozzarella and it was average. Maybe a few more spices or something to jazz it up? Chicken here is always tender, and Alfredo is amazing. Stark contrast between lunch and dinner menu and preparation. Would definitely recommend for dinner. Lunch? Not so much.
Worst place to buy food from order from there for lunch and they literally just spread sauce on penne noodles and give you one literally ONE MEATBALL like seriously hospital food is better then this like I’m Appalled buy this restaurant/cafe whatever they should be embarrassed never again when are they closing cause that’s Ridiculous then my co worker get Alfredo with sausage let’s just say there was barely sauce on the penne noodles and a whole sausage in the middle of the noodles smh not cut up or mixed in just right slap in the middle dry looking like come on if you gone run a business run it properly or just close down idk what jail food is like but I’m pretty sure that was just it!!!

They were closing the kitchen at 4 on Christmas eve when we got there it was 3:50. They still got us food to eat in. They are great and the food is so good.
Went on Saturday was looking forward to the Caesar salad due to the anchovy dressing. Received salad and it had an entirely different taste of tuna fish in dressing.Ordered a Lemoncello marscapone cake and it was not fresh.These restaurants have upped the prices due to inflation on everything and the quality has gotten very poor including kitchen staff, have they changed staff from a month ago? Hope it was not the one taking garbage to dumpster and jack of all trades. Decided to take a break from all restaurants.
