Great pizza and Italian food. Great variety of choices, just one of the best places downtown for that kind of food. They also have a bar...Amazing bartender there. I had the best martini I've ever had. I hope they keep that guy because he knows what he's doing. I ordered a dirty martini and watched him make it and it was like watching a painter creating a masterpiece. He let the glass sit for a little while with some ice and water. Then used good vermouth and gin which was shaken (not stirred). They also have this really tasty olive brine for them. I like that they don't use a traditional martini glass, they never seem like they hold much and even if you're sober they spill too easy and trust me, you don't want to waste a drop of this martini. It's served with some great olives on a bamboo skewer. I was very impressed by the skill of the bartender. I would definitely recommend going there if you enjoy different cocktails.

First Time..Very Nice Place..Clean and Everyone was Friendly. Ordered a Pizza ?The Crust, Pizza bread was DELICIOUS...I could have eat the pizza bread alone..So god..Hot. Lots of cheese and Topping.
Terrible service different people making awful pizza take a look at a pizza called little taste of Italy sloppy and no meat which supposed to have 3 meats just awful! Look like they just barely put any meat on it the pepperoni was burnt! The dough was thick and dry, little bit of cheese! I did say something to them about how it seems different everytime I ordered a pizza!
Very loud atmosphere. Had to nearly shout at server to place order. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. The more appropriate name should be plain chicken and cheese pizza. The was a just faint hint of buffalo. Quite disappointing. Despite the bland pizza the crust was pretty good. After eating to took asking twice and waiting 15 minute to get our check.
I came to Youngstown to visit relatives over the weekend, and ate here with my cousin on his recommendation. I had my first-ever slice of Brier Hill Pizza here, and I wasn't disappointed! The staff was very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was awesome, and I will definitely return on my next trip to Youngstown.
I got a 14” buffalo chicken pizza and an order of Wingdings— the chicken was fine, my pizza was completely dry it had absolutely no flavor. This was very disappointing on top of the dry customer service I received from the female cashier. The pizza came from the back as if it was fresh but tasted old ? the only good thing about my visit was a man that came from the back and greeted me, he was very nice.
I'll start off with the positive, the pizza was fantastic as usual and the staff was nice. However I had a bowl of pasta fagoili, it was not good. It tasted like Campbell's tomato soup with beans and pasta added. When I spend money to go out to eat at a restaurant I DO NOT expect to be served it in a paper bowl and plate with plastic utensils. The only non throw away items on the table were the metal pizza pan and the glasses. As someone who believes in recycling I wonder how much trash this restaurant adds to the landfill every day ?
Heard that the owners of the old Avalon Gardens opened this spot downtown, stopped by for a pizza and though it was pretty close to the old pizza in terms of flavor, the crust wasn't how it used to be though still pretty tasty, the sauce was a bit sweeter than I remember and there could have been slightly more peppers on the Briar Hill pizza, but other than my nitpicking, solid meal in downtown.
Avalon Downtown was one of the first pizza places I visited in Youngstown and their pizza was great! I have been to about 10 different pizza parlors and this place is a Youngstown gem! What a great place with amazing customer services. I think i ate an entire large to myself!!!!!Craig Hockenberry
