Extremely busy. Called in an order and when l arrived there was no sign of it. Tomato soup was lukewarm and the portion was small but it was delicious. Coffee was good. California quinoa and edamame salad was a healthy choice but bland. Haven't tried the cornbread square yet. Edit: cornbread was excellent!
This place has gone downhill over the years. Portions are smaller than they've ever been, quality is lower too. There are better options for price and quality. Also the menu is as stale as the chips.
Loved it! The atmosphere was so fun. Loved the decor and all of the history and old brick in the building. The staff was attentive and engaging. We decided to try a few things and share our food. The kale chips were amazing! The sandwiches knocked it out of the park. The bread smelled so good and was soft and fluffy. It complemented the sandwich fixes and made for a great experience. The pickle chips were definitely made with pickle lovers in mind! It tasted like there was dill in the batter!!!The smoothies were perfect on a hot summer day. Definitely a gem of Wooster!
Food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering. Soup was tomato basil. Great, and it was fresh. That's the soup that sets the benchmark for tomato basil. Strawberry chicken salad, refreshing, and the strawberry came through. Good enough on its own but the vinaigrette with it sends it to the next level. Got the wired science sandwich. All the flavors come through without conflicting.
The City Slicker was fantastic. The corned beef was tender and flavorful, the best I've had yet.
Great downtown Wooster deli ... we liked the exposed brick and hardwood vibe ... had delicious sandwiches and homemade chips for lunch. Would recommend to anyone looking for a casual tasty meal.
Delicious smoothies and breakfast sandwiches. My mom and I were passing through and wanted to see Woosters downtown; happened upon the airstream event and walked around. We shared a breakfast Sammy (just yes, you want their ciabatta bread) and each tried a smoothie (her: coffee, me: Frankenstein).
Nice comfortable place with great music. The food was fantastic. They have vegan options if you prefer that, yet they make there own fried mac & cheese bits with the dawg sauce which I had. Excellent!! Nice beer selection from breweries around Ohio. Full bar. Nice comfortable couch area unde cover yet open in Nice weather.
Everything is so good! Service is great, food is amazing, and the atmosphere is fun and inviting!
It was great having the opportunity to stop back at Spoon's. It's really not what you would expect for a sandwich shop. None of the standard ham and swiss or Reuben type menu items. Very creative sandwiches, great soups and salads. There's much more going on food-wise. It's very eclectic. When we lived in Wooster, we enjoyed eating there often. Their foods are locally sourced. In terms of atmosphere, it probably leans to the college age to gen X customers, but us boomers enjoy it as well.
