Enjoyed an amazing pizza and pita platter here. The owner served as our waiter and he is quite the man. We enjoyed chatting with him.
The lady who took our orders was so nice, but we ordered to go so we went to a place down the street for drinks. It was 50 minutes after we left the place that we decided to go back as we hadn't received a call that our food was ready. It was another 10-15 minutes of being in the restaurant before we got our food. Finally got back to our place and had the salad first, wasn't bad but the food was terrible. It smelled funky as soon as we took the lid off and couldn't even finish the first bite. It smelled and tasted like the sauce went bad a while ago and was still being used. Not a fan and will not be going back if we are ever in town again.
Mr Matsos is so wonderful. The food and service has always been amazing. I enjoy how it alway make each of his feel welcome and how he takes the time to talk to everyone as they are checking out.
First time eating at Matsos. Food took a while to get to us but it was worth the wait. My lasagna was well cooked and Spiro gave us free salads and ice cream because of the wait. He's a very friendly and caring owner. My girlfriend and I will definitely be going back to try the pizza!
The best gyro I have ever enjoyed. Delicious food, and large portions, made by the owner of the restaurant. Call ahead; quality food takes time.
Our Greek olive + feta + bacon + white sauce pizza was wonderful & the owner is above & beyond kind, thoughtful, & truly a joy to speak with. His kindness made my day & I plan to share my recommendation in as many places as possible :)
We ordered and paid for a 12" "lees special" grinder for a pick up order. We picked it up close to closing time. We didn't open the order up right away. Much to our dismay, we paid for a 12" grinder that was just a little over 9". It was too late to call to.. they had closed for the evening at 9 pm. Very very disappointed. I lady at the register when I checked out told me that SPIRO MATSOS himself was the person in the kitchen doing the cooking. Because of his shortened hours I can't help but think that the bun must have had mold on it so he cut that part off and made the sandwich anyway. I will be calling tomorrow when they open at 3 pm to let them know. I will update my comment with how Spiro handled the situation
SPAGHETTI PIZZA?! I bet you’ve never heard of something so crazy, yet so delicious! You’ve got to stop into this authentic Greek restaurant where you’ll find Mr. Matsos himself cooking in the kitchen! We travel an hour just to enjoy his fantastic restaurant!
Absolutely wonderful! We just got home from dinner and I wanted to make sure to leave this great little place a review. The food was so good and everything is made fresh to order. While the food was excellent our favorite part was meeting the owner, what a kind and hospitable man! This place is a must stop in Wooster. Thank you for the fantastic food, service and hospitality. We will be back!
Great pizza and grinders. Their spaghetti pizza is so good! The Greek pita is awesome!
