I recently had a late lunch at the Manhattan Deli Bar & Grille located on the north side of Ridge Road in the Pine Ridge Plaza in Willoughby, Ohio. The Plaza is a long strip mall with plenty of free off-street parking. The Manhattan Deli Bar & Grille has a covered outdoor dining area facing the Pine Ridge Plaza parking lot. When you walk in the front door, there is a hostess station with a sign saying. "Please wait to be seated." To your left is a bar with seating at the bar and a few tables. There are two wall mounted TVs over the bar. The entrance to the outside seating is through this bar area.Straight ahead from the hostess station is the dining area with booths along the wall to your right. There are, also, various size tables with chairs too. Straight to the back past the dining area is a passageway where the restrooms are located. To the left of the dining room is the kitchen behind a wall. There is a curb cut/wheelchair ramp from the parking lot to the covered sidewalk. The restaurant's entrance and table seating are wheelchair accessible. The washrooms are, also, wheelchair accessible. The restaurant is clean. My server is friendly and attentive. I started with a bowl of the Firehouse Chili topped with onions and cheese accompanied with Oyster Crackers. The bowl is huge and the chili is meaty with a nice spice level - not too hot. If you are not too hungry, the bowl of Firehouse Chili is enough for a meal.I followed the bowl of Firehouse chili with a regular size portion of the Corn Beef Reuben on rye with a side of coleslaw. The Thousand Island dressing of the Reuben is served on the side. The Reuben sandwich is very tasty. There are generous portions of Corn Beef. The Rye bread is fresh. A tasty sandwich served with a pickle slice. The coleslaw is creamy. I added pepper to the coleslaw to my taste.Manhattan Deli Bar & Grille has a lot of good looking dishes on the menu. Everyone in your party/group will find something for every taste. As I left, I looked at the dessert cakes in the display case. They all looked great.
During a recent family visit to Willoughby, I found this place on-line and so happy I did. There were 4 of us and we were all very happy with our choices. I got a Caprese Avocado Toast that was on the daily specials that was delicious! The corn beef sandwiches were enjoyed by my company along with a few appetizers (meatballs and grape leaves) were really good. Next time I plan on trying the Hash and eggs :). It was really busy for a Monday night but we only had to wait a few minutes and would go back for sure.
Nowadays I guess no one cares about the quality of your meal when you order takeout, including this place. I have ordered here twice because my daughter tells me how great their food is. Lies, this place is not good to me. Yesterday I asked for grilled salmon meal extra seasoning lightly cooked, mashed potatoes with gravy and broccoli, sounds simple. I felt like they were upset with my request on how to cook the salmon so they decided not to put any seasoning at all and it was very well done, hard, no gravy or butter for my dry mashed potatoes and the broccoli was mushy.I am so sick and tired of these restaurants treating people like this and I am tired of calling them. I am just going to start writing reviews, I hope you listening
The menu had a wide variety of choices, and the food we ordered was simply delicious! Service was excellent. We went on to Cleveland, and at the end of the next day we came back to this restaurant to enjoy another delicious meal.
My first time ever visiting and oh my goodness I'm so glad I decided to try this place!I placed a order over the phone and the young lady named Hope was so thorough when taking my order which was pretty long and a little complicated. My kids are fussy eaters and only eat/like certain things and she made sure everything was correct when she took my order. I was told it would be about 30 to 35 minutes and when I arrived the girls behind the counter had just finished bagging my order. I happened to notice the beautiful selection of cakes and desserts I just had to get some to take home. When I got home everything was still hot and fresh and everything I asked for was done not one thing wrong with the whole order which is rare these days!Excellent service & great tasting food!
Our first "After lockdown" dinner we decided to meet at Manhattan Deli. It was a delicious decision! We started with a Cosmopolitan martini & matzah ball soup and peel outs. The peel outs were amazingly crispy and full if bacon. We then ordered a Reuben, Deli bug boy, metro salad, shaved prime rib, and the chopped sirloin dinner (which came with the most amazing veggies we ever had). We finished off this smorgasbord with a piece of snicker and Key Lime cheesecakes. I'm still full and we had enough left over for another full meal for each! The best part of our dinner (besides the company) was our OUTSTANDING waitress Meg. She was so attentive and so much fun!!! We WILL be visiting again, but with stretchy pants on!***update..adding a thank you from Ashley for making their take out dinner perfect! It was the best meal they have had in months!!! Thank you from Ashley!!**
Awesome sauce. Got a breakfast sandwich, it came with these amazing red skin potatoes pan fried, didn't even know it came with the sandwich! A Pleasant surprise...everything was tasty, the kitchen is clean and orderly, the place has great atmosphere. Friendly staff as well! Highly recommend. I service their soda machines with multiflow:) thanks again guys and gals !
I placed a order on the phone. The after fumbling through the girl finally got the order right. I called back to add on an item and another girl said she couldn't find my order. After a few she was able to add to my order and told me I would have to pay for the add on when I arrive. I informed her I had not paid yet. When I arrived I received my order and paid with card. After I signed the receipt the girl looked at the receipt and looked at me with an attitude and walked off. Seems as if she was unsatisfied with the tip amount. I like the food but after this experience I can't see myself coming back here.
I enjoyed the Italian wedding soup and half a pastrami sandwich. Can't wait to have it again! Mid-afternoon was a good time to go. One time I want to try one of those bourbon cocktails
On a Tuesday afternoon when it was not busy I ordered a Patty Melt for pick-up. Drove 15 minutes there and then 15 minutes back. Got home and found a piece of half melted cheese on rye with a cold piece of hamburger, nothing else on it. For 13.99. I could have gone to McDonalds and ordered a burger. I called and they said I could bring it back to have it recooked and put the right toppings on it (two types of cheese, grilled onions). Um, 30 minutes rt and gas to get it made over is nonsense. The restaurant was not busy at all so that cannot be the reason for it being that way. As I have been going to them for years, usually for their Reubens, they have lost me as a customer full stop. Next time I will just grill out for a 10th of the time and 1/3 the price. Nice people. Just like any restaurant, they are only as good as the last visit and they bombed terribly on this.
