An excellent brew-pub with terrific Mexican food. Downstairs serves tacos with arepas upstairs. We went for the tacos which were excellent. Very authentic with a good selection of tacos. They were delicious and were not your usual beef tacos. A good selection of craft beers. We were able to get some freshly canned beers to go which was nice. Friendly and helpful service. Next time, we will try the areas!
I recently had lunch at Hola Tacos of Willoughby. There are three Hola Tacos restaurants in the greater Cleveland metro area. In the same building in Willoughby, is the Barroco Grill - the same ownership - for more substantial appetites.Hola Tacos of Willoughby is on the east side of Erie Street. Coming from the east, the restaurant is just north of Mentor Avenue/US 20. If you are coming from the west, the restaurant is just north of Vine Street. There is plenty of free off-street parking at Hola Tacos of Willoughby. There is roof top seating accessible by stairs or an elevator.I dined on the first floor. When you enter from the south face of the building, you first come to the host/hostess stationTo your left are various regular tables and high top tables adjacent to the bar with seating at the bar. The wall behind the bar is glass through which you see the components of the microbrewery. To the right of the host/hostess station are regular tables for dining. The kitchen is in the center of the building next to the bar. Diners can not see into the kitchen. At the east end of the building, next to the kitchen area are the restrooms. The first floor has many floor to ceiling windows for natural lighting. The decor on the interior walls is interesting - with bold graphics. Very festive decor. See attached photos and I, also, posted videos under the photo tab.Two servers, a waitress and a bar tender, are working the floor while I was dining. They are both friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. As a first time dinner I had several questions about the menu items. This is casual dining. A roll of paper towels are on the table. The utensils are plastic probably a result of the Covid-19 practices. In mid-April, 2022, the staff are not wearing face masks. The majority of the diners do not enter and exit Hola Tacos Willoughby wearing face masks.I started my lunch off with the Esquite (Street Corn) appetizer served with several corn tostadas. A very tasty appetizer with great flavor. The corn tostadas are nice and crisp and crunchy. YUMMY! The bring a tray of condiments to the table - a spicy salsa (not too spicy hot), a thin sour cream and an avocado crema. My entree are two Birria tacos served with two lime wedges plus I ordered a side of quacomole. The tacos have a great depth of flavor and the taco shell is flavorful and holds together well. The shell is fried so there is oil on the tray and on your fingers when you are finished eating. I ordered an unsweetened ice tea to drink. It is a relaxing dining experience with great food and good service. Enjoy!
Enjoyed my meal. I was not thrilled with the street corn but it was okay.
Great food every time I've been. Really easy staff and a great selection of beer. This is an exceptional place.I think most if not all of the seating is high top and it's a little hard to fit a group larger than 6.
very authentic this island boy is satisfied
I didn't really care for it. The food was just ok, so much so that I'd rather eat Taco Bell. I also went on a night where there were barely any customers inside, but our Waiter could've done a much better job checking on us. This was my first and last time going there.
This is my first time here, and it's also the last time I set foot in this hellish place. When we (2 people) came, they said there was no table, and we asked how long it would take to get a seat, and they said 45 minutes, we put your name and phone number in the appointment book. because it was cold, we drove around.20 minutes later they called us and said there was an empty table, when we came back, we had to wait 10 minutes for them to clear the table. When sitting at the table, wait another 15 minutes for the waiter to ask for a drink, and we order 2 beers.Next we were served food and we ordered food.We drank almost 2 strong beers and waited more than 30 minutes and still no food, I can't see the waitress, other employees treat me as invisible. Is it because we are Vietnamese so they treat me like that??? we are so hungry after 1 day of work and till now there is no food. I called the male staff and asked when we could eat, and the male employee called the female waiter in.Because we could not accept the service of the staff in which we had to leave, At that moment, the waitress apologized and didn't charge for those 2 beers, We came to eat, not beg, so we paid for those 2 beers.and I swear I will never set foot in this place!!! Vietnamese people who want to go there to try the food I advise not to go to this place.????
Very nice, warm, and intriguing atmosphere inside and out. The food is very good, all aspects of the flavor seem homemade and not at all like it is served from a can or bottle. Service from the server/manager was great and he was very kind. The quesabirria was of a plentiful size and was delectable. Very much worth the trip to give it a try, a little on the expensive side but for the price it seems they put their hearts into making the dishes the best versions that they can be.
Service and food were excellent!! Fun atmosphere, well put together floor plan and spacing.
Ordered on line for pickup. Food was hot and fresh. Dining room and bar area were very clean with a cool atmosphere and music. Plenty of free Parking. Food portion were big, but not for the price. It's a sandwich. Shouldn't be $14. Too expensive.
