So glad to find this place. The pizza is excellent. I love the crust. Based on reviews I asked for extra sauce ( I love sauce more than cheese) and my pizza was perfect. Pepperoni mushroom with extra sauce all day every day for me!
I was really looking forward to this place. Had heard about it from a few friends and the pizza itself looked great! But, i don't know if it's like this usually.. or i just went on a bad day but. The pizza was so bland.. there was literally no flavor to it at all. I had to put peppers flakes on it so i could have somewhat of something... Very disappointed.
It’s HARD to find good pizza in Columbus but thankfully this place opened here! Reminds me of the pizza I used to get in NE Ohio. Fried chicken was awesome, the pizza has a nice chewy and thick crust, the sauce wasn’t sweet and they didn’t pile it on, and the pepperoni was crispy! Order here and keep this place open!
Decided to take a chance and try a new pizza place. And I'm so glad that we did! We got pizza, chicken, and jojos...everything tasted great! They did not disappoint!
So I’ve been here about 4 times since they’ve opened and never had a issue until today. My food was disappointing you can tell it was rushed the only good thing was the pizza. My son ate the chicken leg and unfortunately after he finished I noticed how pink it was. Same with the thigh I later opened. I asked for extra crispy and as you can tell from the two untouched pieces the skin is just soggy. The jojos had no type of crisp at all, clearly not cooked long enough. Im from up north so I know the quality of Gionino’s and they need to step it up. I threw the two soggy pieces in the air fryer to hopefully cook them through and crisp up the skin. They also need a a separate register when picking up your food. To hopefully move the line along. This was just disappointing
Saw that Gionino's had opened and decided to check it out. Ordered a small pepperoni and mushroom pizza and some garlic bread. Took about 15 minutes for it to be prepared. The pizza is a slice pizza, the sauce was a nice tomato sauce. Nicely layered in cheese, plenty of pepperoni with mushrooms. The crust was totally different that your usual Columbus style pizza. More dough and cooked perfectly. Yummmmy!!!! The Garlic Bread was made with a nice buttery layer of herbs/spices on a sub bun. Some of the best around. Was able to talk for a bit with Dan one of the owners. Was super happy to open this location. Everyone needs to check this pizza out!!!Super Delicious.
Ordered the Gionino’s best pizza and asked for no green peppers, onions and lite banana peppers on 1/2 the pizza and of course they messed up the pizza and didn’t care that they did it. There garlic sauce is garbage and the garlic bread with cheese shouldn’t be on the menu. It’s not the worst pizza that I have ever eaten but not close to a good pizza. The fact is I will never order from there again because there customer service sucks and there pizza and sides listed above are sub par and there customer service needs a lot of work. After waiting all this time for them to open up, we were very disappointed and don’t recommend anyone to waste there time and money at this pizza place.Updated reviewThe owner reached out to me and has made it right. The new pizza was much better than the first one they made. I am glad they are about making things right. I chose to not except the garlic cheese bread or the garlic dipping sauce because I didn’t care for it. The owner explained it and I was pleased with his explanation and again the pizza was a lot better and the taste was really good. I will be back again to try other things they offer.
The pizza is exactly how I remember from my hometown in Cleveland. We also tried the buckeye wings and they were so good! Staff was friendly and pizza tasted fresh! So glad they are open and close to us!
So great to have a north eastern Ohio style of pizza in the north eastern columbus area! We hit them up on their first Friday night they were open, while it was a little chaotic (the first week of being open) the pizza was GREAT, can't wait to continue to have access to this delicious pizza closer to us. We've had Gioninos from many different locations of the franchise and this location proved to be delicious!
Gionino’s is HANDS DOWN my favorite pizza of all time! Provolone cheese, lots of toppings, and cooked to perfection. I’ve also tried a couple of their subs and salads and highly recommend them as well. Definitely try this place out, you won’t regret it!
