It has been a minute....I can't remember the last time I was in Giammarco's but wifey was in the mood for Italian. The decor is your typical upscale Italian restaurant. The service was really good. We decided to have the stromboli and a bowl of the Italian wedding soup. The wedding soup was delicious but the stromboli stole the show. We ordered the large with pepperoni, sausage, ham, and cheese which was awesome. This place is worth stopping by for dinner
I left a review along with photos on Yelp. I loved Giammarcos. I've been eating here for years. Unfortunately, my go to dinner from here was downright disastrous. My chicken marsala came without any marsala sauce. Bone dry. An overcooked, unpleasant combination of hard and rubbery. My $8.50 salad was barely larger than the container of dressing that accompanied it. I remember getting the delicious chopped salad they used to serve. The salad I received that day was barely a 1/4 cup of lettuce and a couple of slices of cucumber and tomato. Highway robbery to pay almost $9 for that. They also no longer serve their delicious bread. Instead, I was given rolls. The oil and herb dipping sauce had the tiniest sprinkling of herbs. Thank goodness I keep my own supply on hand. My roasted potatoes were well cooked but underseasoned. I threw out 90% of my dinner. I understand Covid has made things difficult and restaurants are overworked and understaffed but there was really no reason for this meal to be that bad. The one good thing from the meal was that my husband ordered the potato gnocchi instead of his usual ricotta ones. I found them to be slightly dense but delicious.
We had a wonderful experience here. We booked a private room for a family gathering after a funeral. The staff was great and Ali made it easy to book and choose the menu.
Four different meals...each one delicious. Service excellent. Pleasing atmosphere. We will be back
Great dinner tonight at Giammarco’s. She had the pasta trio and I had ravioli. We shared a meatball appetizer which we highly recommend.
It was my first time there so I tried the house combo platter to get a taste of a few different things. The sausage, ravioli and gnocchi were very good but the meatball was a little off. I had a bite of the meals from others in my party. The vodka sauce was very good and the stromboli war excellent. Good atmosphere and our server was courteous.
Prices are fair for the portion, red sauce is very sweet. Wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly, service was quick.Lasagna was soso, wasn't a fan. Rather bland in comparison to nice Italian places. Seems like it was sitting around a while as the cheese was hard inside, now a juicy dish for sure. They do give the largest portion I've seen in a restaurant, too bad the flavor was there.Wife didn't like her favorite dish Chicken Alfredo.Baby didn't even eat her spaghetti.Cheese sticks were good.
Ordered take out for a Friday night end of the week splurge while I was working in the area. The food and service were awesome. Will definitely get take out again if work brings me back to the area.
Always good. Lasagna is better than Carfagna's, in my opinion, but not as fabulous as North Market's Pastaria. No Restaurant in town can touch THAT lasagna! Chicken Picatta and Gnocchi are my fav dishes. Consistently delicious. Never mess up my take out order & thier staff is lovely. I appreciate that. Very good Ceaser dressing and house Italian is pretty good too. Alfredo sauce is bomb. They also offer Gelato. I haven't tried it yet but I'd bet it's great. They have a really nice patio and there's plenty of room in the Restaurant for large groups, no problem. I feel like the pricing is reasonable.. I've yet to be there when business is slow. They're always hoppin' but they are well staffed so we've never had a long wait. Definitely a gem.
We love their lunch specials! Lasagna and Fettuccine Alfredo hit the spot! Great salads too! Our sever was outstanding as well!
