I am so over this its the only employees we can get stuff. Well then manage better. Horrible service. No gloves touching my food. I mean the girl was on the phone the whole time talking to a friend on a headset. Incredible. Literally talking to a friend and telling me to hold on while in the middle of my order. No respect. I even said are you on the phone, she said yea, and gave me a dirty look.
Normally when I go there, no problems. Service is good and the food is good. But last night, a couple of friends and I came in to dine in and eat. No one greeted us. The two booths we asked for were dirty when we got there. We stood there for at least ten minutes and yet still no one acknowledged us. I understood that they were busy, but at least tell us how long we would have to wait for our booths.
What kind of business never answers their phone even when they aren't busy? All I wanted to do was place a to-go order and since I couldn't call you I drove up there in person and after ten minutes of waiting the lady told me to move aside so she could cash someone out and that someone would be with me in a few minutes. When I told her I had been waiting ten minutes and all I wanted to do was place my to go order she snapped at me. I walked out and will never order from there again!
Love this Waffle House. BEST ONE I've ever been to. Great third shift staff. And clean store.
Went on friday night at 8pm and the had all the seating closed off but the bar. We had 2 kids so bar was not possible for us.
They tried to overcharge me and gaslit me when I told them the total was incorrect. When I go to Waffle House, I don't expect good service, nor do I expect them to be good at math, but they were blatantly overcharging and trying to gaslight me. My ticket the items we ordered and they were not written as menu price, it was more. I added up the ticket items from the ticket they hand wrote, and the total came out to $10.75, while the waitresses written total was $13.98. They literally could not add written numbers in a calculator and write it correctly. The lady at the register added them up 3-4 times and kept coming up with a total $0.75 more. Seriously, you just punch the numbers in the calculator! Aside from that, I was being charged for items I did not receive. Look, it's a cheap meal and I get that. It's not about loss of money, but principle of wrongly trying to scam their customers for a few bucks more on each ticket and gaslighting them when it's brought to their attention. The lady snipped at my husband and I and yelled at us that our total was incorrect that we added up. I'm sorry, I was literally just adding the numbers they wrote. I think the attitude came from her being defensive that she got caught. Watch your tickets and add them up, especially with the night crew.
I'm not normally one to complain but after the two white families who sat after me had their silverware, drinks, and order taken by the waitress, the hostess asked me and the gentlemen next to me what we would like to drink. She asked the Caucasian man next to me first then me. I'm going to tough this out because I refuse to give people the satisfaction. However there will be no tip for your staff.
We had the best waitress you could have. Also the man who checked us out was great. They made a good team. They were the only people working. They were both friendly. polite, and on top of things. We will definitely go back.
The tables closed off for covid don't make sense. Overall good, fantastic service, but needs to be alternating tables instead of half the restaurant
