It's been 4 years since I was last here. The food still as good as ever. The buildings look has changed to i think a more modern look which is nice and the atmosphere inside is nice. For food we got the pancake combo platter with two pancakes, some meat, eggs and hasbrowns. I had the banana and strawberry pancakes and she had the cheesecake strawberry pancakes and everything came out perfectly. Seriously gotta find out how they do desert pancakes at home. Not a weekly place for me because of the long drive but definetly a good place to eat with family!
Well, this is the second and last time we will attempt to eat here. The first time, they were busy but it seemed like they were giving outrageous wait times only to get consumers to leave. It worked, we left.Today we tried it again. This time, they were not busy. They had employees working. They had empty tables but they were short staffed. I understand why table were empty. This has been a common problem everywhere, since the pandemic. Here is the problem. There was another couple waiting to be seated when we arrived. They were not acknowledged by anyone. We were not acknowledged. There was no “It will be a few minutes,” “we are short staffed,” “it will be 30mins for a table…” nothing. There were more parties that arrived after us. The same parties decided to leave before us. We could see the manager in the far side of dining room. She and others looked at us but no one said a thing to anyone waiting. Ultimately, all waiting parties left unhappy. Maybe we will try again next year. We have eaten at an IHOP in New Jersey several times and we love the gluten free pancakes. IHOP is the only place we have found these wonderfully tasting gluten free pancakes. I wish we could have the same where we live.
This was one of the worst experiences we have ever had. We went on Good Friday and they were already short on staff. Management was serving, they were so short. After waiting for 30 minutes to get a table, we were finally taken to a table. The waitress immediately asked what we wanted to drink. We said coffee, she said she would be right back with it. After 15 minutes she came back and gave us our coffee. Another 15 minutes passed until our order was taken. We got the actual food 45 minutes after our food order was taken. We had to ask for silverware and we couldn’t get a refill on our coffee. The waitress never came back to our table to ask if we wanted a refill. She did drop off our check though. And she came back to get our card. She still got a good tip, even though the service was horrible. It wasn’t her fault they were so short staffed. She could have checked on us a couple of times, but she didn’t.
Inside the restaurant it takes 30-40 minutes to be served with 6 customers in the building. This is based off of 3 experiences. The pick-up service is ok it was only 10 minutes late on 2 occasions. The staff are great people and kind and the food is great. So it is really delicious just takes some time to get the experience. The most appealing part is the 24/7 service.
Place was not packed but they must have been understaffed, like many places right now. Our waitress was during trying to keep up and moving pretty quickly. Unfortunately, we had to wait till after our food was gone to get any coffee to drink after the first couple warmups while waiting on food. Did came relatively quickly, but the overall experience wasn't what you expect. The waitress could have been confused about my coffee because the syrup was brought out in a coffee cup. It was on our way home from spring break, so they may have been busier than usual, but like I said the restaurant had quite a few open seats.
Love the Over 55 menu!!! Good coffee. Omelettes, pan cakes are the specialty
They gave us syrup in a coffee cup and then once asking for ketchup and silverware (which we didn't get silverware once we sat down) she comes back with ketchup packets and plasticware when other tables around us had silverware and ketchup bottles. Missing food, once receiving the food it was cold; I work in a restaurant and I tried to be nice but this is horrible. Not once did she come back and ask if we needed anything.
Really like this location. The food was perfect and the service was excellent, and we were there during shift change.
The food was great and so was the service. The employees were nice and friendly. The dinning room wasn't filled when we arrived but it was lunch time so it filled up quickly. I feel that the staff is overworked and under appreciated. Everything was OK. But the waitresses need help. So if anyone is looking for a job check it out!
Service was bad waitied for 15 mins and decided to leave
