Fantastic food and experience that lived up to all my expectations. I'm a big M*A*S*H fan and this was a bucket list item.Edit: I also purchased an entire case of pickles and sauces to take home for a M*A*S*H cookout this year. Also nabbed a Packos hoodie for roadtrips!
Tony, Packo's was a fantastic experience and if you're not familiar with the restaurant, it's famous for its skin on beef hot dogs with chili and cheese. The food came out incredibly quick and filled us up pretty quickly. I think it was one of the better restaurants we've been to in the Ohio Toledo area. One thing to note is that there are tons of hot dog buns in cases which were signed by famous people who visited the restaurant. You're going to spend more time looking at the hot dog buns than you are eating your meal.I'll certainly visit here again when I drive through the Toledo area.
If you've never been to Toledo, you have to go to Tony Packo's. They are renowned for their hot dogs and pickles. It is good for kids and adults. The cafe has. Even around since 1932, was mentioned on M*A*S*H* and has numerous autographs of celebrities on what appear to be hot dog buns. It's fun to walk around and see who has been there as well as the gift shop after you've eaten. They have different deals on different days. We were there on $2 Tuesdays. You order at the counter and can sometimes get it handed to you fresh right away. The only delay I had with my food was with the deep fried pickles and even then it was only a matter of a couple minutes. The food is excellent and comes to you quick. If you have never been to Toledo, this place is a must. There are other franchises around but this one on Front Street is the original. If you like hot dogs and/or pickles, you will not be disappointed.
My first ever visit went very well! I’m a MASH fan and have wanted to visit for some time. The staff were exemplary and the restaurant and ladies room were very neat and tidy but most importantly, the food was tasty. I definitely recommend reading the history on the main website because it adds to the experience. Well done on all fronts!
A Toledo Classic. Cozy place with a large bar and plenty of seats. The food is amazing, the cucumber salad is super yummy, and the staff is also very friendly. Even when busy they make sure you're taken care of. If you haven't had or been to Packo's you definitely need to.
We are not around this area but saw this was a cool restaurant to see and eat and it did not disappoint. Had the dogs and chili which had a little spice to it so we loved it. Henry was very nice and helpful with our questions. The signed hot dog buns were cool to see and read too.
Good food all around. The chili really stood out, quite tasty. The pickles are definitely awesome, take some home along with the bread pudding.
