I had seen this place driving by many times, but thought it looked too expensive or fancy for me. Then I was invited there by a couple of friends and found that I couldn't have been more wrong. The staff was amazing. The service was awesome. And the food was delicious. And even better, it was very reasonably priced (maybe $12-18 per entree). The place was very clean and had a rather upscale feel to it. There is a large bar and even outdoor seating. I will most definitely be back, and recommend everyone give them a try. You won't regret it.

My experience at the Old Bag of Nails was not a good one. My wife and I lived in the neighborhood 22 odd years. First of all we called in our order we ordered an extra piece of fish. The young lady on the phone placed us on hold to check on prices.+ she never returned to the phone we drove the entire way on hold. We walked through the front door of Bag of Nails and we seen the phone still blinking on hold. We asked to talk to the manager. He was very nice understanding accommodating and polite. That young man made it right and I had a great experience after that. Food was still delicious as always

Good food. Nice location. Sort of. Nice restaurant. Has garage doors to open up the place on a nice day.Specialty is breaded fish and fries. Tried it. It was good. Kinda expensive place.

The Old Bag of Nails was a great surprise. Good beer selection, but most of all a really outstanding menu. I've been several times and could not be happier with the many items tried. The fried mushrooms are the best I've ever had. Good salads and burgers. Solid fish and chips. Really nice Rueben (and I am picky). Maybe my favorite appetizer was the Bavarian pretzel. It is hot, buttery, salty and comes with a great cheese sauce for dipping. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.Like with most places today, the service was the only thing that left something to be desired. Nice enough people, but either new or with a short attention span. We waited for things like utensils, having dirty dishes cleared from the table and the bill. They are trying, and will likely get better. Don't let that scare you away as this was some of the best casual food I ate while in Toledo for several weeks.

Our server was nice. We got there 5 minutes before happy hour ended. A few $$ off apps and a handful of alcoholic drinks.Lol, my boyfriend was starving and ate most of them, very basic nachos by the time I thought about taking a picture. Lol. Seriously I hope they are better at full price because I will not get them again. The fish came out and it was really good. So thankfully they had a winner there. Worth over $50, not really. Doubt I'll be back anytime soon.

Very nice atmosphere and staff. The food was delicious. I had the fish and chips with onion rings, We split a wedge salad and mozzarella sticks. Everything was hot, fresh and plentiful. The pecan ball and carrot cake was so good. I highly recommend ?

My friends meals were great they got the fish and chips and blackened salmon I got the shrimp po boy absolutely sucked all bread nothing else no toppings of any kind I would not ever get it again extremely disappointed would not recommend it to anyone in toledo I will never go back again it's ashamed

Great waitstaff. While the burgers are delicious and fresh, the parties are undersized. I ordered the double burger and it still felt like the bun was swallowing the burger. (Probably 6-7oz patties)The boneless wings are large and delicious. The Kamikaze sauce was nice, hot with a bit of sweetness, without being overly hot (so don't let the name scare you off.)

Love this place. Drove down here numerous times during 2020/2021 to dine indoors. If they hadn't shut us down in Michigan we never would of found this place. Excellent food and service. Great view of the river. Overall great restaurant.

Had a lunch meeting today and the menu is well organized with plenty of tasty options. I had the po boy and it was on point. The server was friendly and very attentive. The location is pretty convenient because I work downtown and the only issue was parking because the lot isn't that large.
