Always an amazing experience. The staff, cuisine, and atmosphere is second to done. They make us so proud of Toledo! Patrick is such a professional and the Chop House is fortunate to have him represent the company. Our server, Marquise, was attentive and knowledgeable. We took our friends to celebrate their wedding and everything was perfect. If you have a special occasion, there is no where else that compares. Definitely try the Beef Wellington or the Cowboy Steak. All of the sides are fabulous and the peanut butter tart dessert is tremendous. We will definitely be back! Thank you!
Certainly not a cheap meal, as most point out, but definitely delicious. Meat was cooked exactly as asked and is seasoned very well. Everything was excellent quality. Service was exceptional as well. Best restaurant I've been too in Toledo so far.The only negative I can think of is that some of the wines are grossly overpriced - even for a restaurant. If you can buy a cheap bottle of Malbec at the grocery store for $10, I would expect a restaurant to charge maybe $30-35 for it, not $55-60.
We had Micheal as a waiter and he was excellent! This was our first visit. We went to celebrate my birthday. They were very kind and gave me a card and dessert. We ordered the lamb lollipop and the steak bites for an appetizer and we all liked those. Let me tell you the pop over was my favorite thing I had there! For dinner I got the cowboy ribeye and I went with their recommendations for cooking and it was a bit unevenly cooked, but they made it right and quickly made me another one. Our only complaint, and sadly it makes a huge difference if we'll return, the food was way too salty. The steak, augratin and potatoes were so salty we each only had a few bites. Salt is important, but once added it can't be taken away. I would have rather had it under salted and I could have seasoned to taste. The atmosphere was very nice and Micheal made everything better, but for the price of the food, don't go ruining it with so much salt.
The atmosphere is bright and inviting. One wall is all windows. Live piano player creating nice ambiance. Greeted four times before even sitting down. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. The food quality wasn’t the best I’ve had. But to be fair, the wagyu steak was Australian I believe, and I prefer American. I am not sure the menu specified that. Really liked how with larger groups, they were all served at the very same Time by many staff members.
My new favorite steak house in Toledo. The service was top notch. Our waiter Rob took excellent care of our party of 8. He was very attentive, knowledgeable of the menu , friendly and professional. The delicious food, cocktails and attention to detail afforded in this restaurant experience was right up there with the Palm in Manhatten. I will be hard pressed to go anywhere else for a good steak. Incredible riverfront views make this restaurant your go to for that next special occasion. You won’t be sorry
Listen people. If you want a FABULOUS meal & price is not a concern, GO HERE! James was our server & he was great! All staff was wonderful actually. We had a delicious, relaxing meal w/ no pressure to hurry up & leave. We ordered Sweet & Spicy Calamari and Lamb Chops to start, then French Onion & Lobster Bisque Soups, followed by the Wagyu Steak (1/2 shown in pic) & Brussell Sprouts, and finished off with the best (Espresso) Creme Brulee I've ever had (could've done w/ less choc beans though) & the Salted Caramel Cheesecake, and a Spanish Coffee (very cool presentation of this!)Great view of the River area & well lit after dark for a stroll. What a wonderful evening! Thank you Chop House Family! Will def be back if I'm ever in O*** again! ??
This was my third visit to The Chop House. Our waiter was amazing as one would expect from this restaurant. He easily knew the answers to our questions, and allowed us to relax and enjoy the evening without coming by every 5 minutes to see if we needed anything, which I have never experienced here. The restaurant was very clean too. Customer service and cleanliness are extremely important. The food was stellar! It was a lovely night out for the two of us and we enjoy selecting The Chop House. We know we will get a consistent experience without disappointment.
This isn't a restaurant. This is an experience. We had such a phenomenal time, 5 stars isn't quite enough. The food was mouth watering and utterly unbelievable. Hell, the French Onion Soup alone was absolutely worth coming for. I cannot recommend this place enough. And I want to take the opportunity to single out Michael for his exceptional hospitality. He made us feel so warm and welcome, I couldn't have been have asked for a better birthday night out.Around these parts, they like to say, "You'll do Better in Toledo."Places like this are the proof.
Very amazing food! The waiter was amazing!!! His name was Donny. Not really my atmosphere as I don't really eat many fancy places but this was by far amazing! Donny made things easy and helped with everything we needed. Was very comfortable and interior was decorated. I would 10/10 recommend this place to people who have the money haha. Definitely coming back just gonna have to save for it lol.
My fiancé surprised me with dinner at The Chop House last night. Every aspect of this restaurant made me feel pampered. The view was incredible (not something I often say mid March). The selection of music and unique orange upholstery were very appealing to me as well. Our server, Donny, was extremely inviting and helpful since I am such an indecisive individual, especially when trying a new restaurant. With that being said, I loved the various options offered and I decided to go with one of my favorites, the filet mignon. It was cooked to perfection, just how I like it! The portions of our sides were very generous and dessert made my taste buds dance (definitely order the salted caramel turtle cheesecake). Overall, it was an amazing experience and I'd love to go back!
