You ever notice how some people constantly miserable even to the point that they are so used to what they sent to enjoy it. Those people should not come here because they will snap out of it. No matter your demeanor that upon contentious establishment it is subjected to unbelievable professionalism, laughter, courtesy, hospitality, and off the chart enthusiastic service. Zack and Ethan are extraordinarily kind and hospitable behind the line. And Justin provides the smile and a good laugh and food delivered consistently and promptly. This is my third time here in the last two weeks since I have moved here from Vermont. I wish these guys nothing but continued success and in this game age I want to thank them first and foremost for coming to work. And I applaud them with my own enthusiasm as it is most evident this is more to them than just a job. They generally care that the guest enjoys a great time. And economically, you will not find any better menu at with better prices in this city. And in my short time here I have been many establishment.
I went inside to place a decent sized take out order. I ordered 12 dogs 2 fries and an order of mushrooms. They had me in and out in under 10 minutes. The man who took my order was very nice and polite as was the young lady who rang in the order. Every employee in the place had an upbeat attitude or was smiling. This Rudy's remind me of the one that closed down in my old neighborhood. Look's like this is my new Rudy's. I can't wait to go back and eat inside the restaurant. You people rock. Thank you. Called to place a take out order on Saturday morning and I was placed on hold for over 15 minutes...nobody took my order...so I hung up called again and got a recording saying that the mailbox was full...called again the very next day and I was placed on hold AGAIN for 20+ minutes... I will never spend my money at the Alexis rd. Rudy's Hot Dog facility again!
Im born and raised a Cincinnati guy, I grew up on skyline chili and gold star and I must say I liked the food but it needs some stuff. First off the chili doesn’t go on top of the cheese. That’s like putting milk in your bowl before the cereal. Also why put coneys in a bag? Put them in a to go box. When I received my bag of chili dogs I was low key horrified. This chili dog is made then just tossed in a bag which is the most un orthodox thing I’ve ever seen. The chili dogs are alright chili is a bit meaty and could use some more sauce. Maybe a bit more mustard and onion. And definitely the cheese should go on top. Otherwise not a bad coney
Was really looking forward to grabbing a hot dog and chili mac from Rudy's. The expectation was not met, not even close. The staff appeared to be more interested in making fun of customers and horse playing than anything. The food was not good at all. I ordered a King Hot Dog, which is listed as a Jumbo. It was the same size as a regular hot dog, burnt, and the chili was horrible. Got a small Chili Mac with Cheese and Onions. Tasted water more than anything else. Threw it away after a few bites. Won't be back.
Rudy's is hands down the best place to go to if you want a hot dog or chili mac. I've put the challenge out to my friends in Detroit, Chicago and New York to come up with a place that has a better hot dog or chili mac and they have never been able to win that challenge. I've had coney dogs from Coney Island and chili mac from Detroit and Chicago and the facts remain the same...Rudy's Hot Dog is still #1 ?
They were busy but still managed quick friendly service. Food was great.
Its been several years since I was here last. And it still tastes just as good. I need to eat here more often. :)
Hands down my favorite chili/Coney dog of all time! Great food, chili Mac, soups, breakfast food, and more!! They have several locations in Toledo area.
I will never go back.. I paid 5.00 for a sandwich that barely had anything on it.. they didn't have tuna.. come on.. tuna? The chicken salad could barely be seen or tasted it was such a small amount. RIP OFF!!
