best coffee in town; a Toledo treasure! Knowledgeable and groovy staff; real coffee lovers. Pistachio muffins are dangerously good. I love Plate 21!
Refused service for not wearing mask. You would think a health minded company would realize how unhealthy the concept fp placing a bpa filled mask over your face to get an organic cup of coffee would be.Do you you know who won't refuse service for not wearing a mask? Your corporate competitors, McDonald's, Burger King, Dunkin donuts. I can get a cup of coffee from any of them, maskless, for half the price. But I drive out of my way to support something better. Only to be refused service. Shameful... If you claim to actually stand for health then STAND.
1st time there...was very impressed. Servers were very friendly and welcoming. Had the chicken pesto sandwich and it was delicious. They did not rush you at all. I will definitely go back. It was a very enjoyable experience.

This is a convenient shop, as it's close to my house but I find it difficult to go in sometimes. Most of the employees are very cold and are not interested in engaging in conversation, or any pleasantries really. My hot drinks are regularly too hot. I bring my toddler in to get hot chocolate and if I don't specify kids temp the drink is well over the standard 140 degrees for a latte. I'd like to enjoy doing business here but I rarely feel welcome and often get sub par quality drinks.
A parent's treat. Whenever we go to Toledo to visit the zoo I first stop by Plate 21 to get one of the seasonal lattes. They are a perfect balance of everything I want in a specialty drink!
I was here today and was very pleasantly surprised to find they have feminine hygiene products in the bathroom. Incidentally, I was in need and understandably frazzled. It's refreshing to see this!!!

cannot go wrong with a matcha, a dirty chai, or a breakfast wrap - all lovingly made to order! enjoy a magazine or book in stock & relax on the couch when your work is done. also good place for aunties to take their littles on auntie dates.
