Myself and co workers placed an order through door dash ( we work downtown). When the driver was getting close, I called to make sure it was ready. Someone checked and said it was. Driver picks up the food and called when he got here (left good reviews for the driver). We only received half the food! When I called, they said I could come pick it up, smh. I told them I am not allowed to leave, that is why i placed an order through door dash. They have delivery available, so I asked if someone could bring it literally down the street, and they said they could not, BUT I could call door dash to have them send another driver!! So they wanted me to have door dash fix THEIR mistake!I finally found someone who would go pick it up for me, so I called them back and asked if they could at least run it out since they had to have someone come unlock the door anyway. Also, so this person would not have to find parking downtown on a weekend. They said they were too busy.
Our table top was so weathered that I doubt that it could be disinfected. My menu had dry pizza sauce on it. The prices were awfully high. We were told a deep dish pizza would take 40 minutes. Huh?! That's a long time to wait for a pizza. The service was good. Our waitress paid good attention to us. The two pizzas and the sub were very, very good.
This was my first time having deep dish pizza and it wasn't terrible but I'm the type of person that actually enjoys little Caesars, so my expectations weren't high lolThe sauce is thicker than most other pizza places, which I loathe. I'm just not a fan of chunks of cooked tomato, and probably the biggest onion hater in the world and almost all pizza sauce has onions in it, so I usually don't take the chance, if I know it's chunky
pizza was delish, it was an hour though before we got it..and $45 for a large all meat pizza..but nice atmosphere
Where to start! This is definitely the best pizza available in Toledo, but surprisingly the price is higher than the top pizza places in Chicago, if not the same. I guess we are also paying for the brand value. Pizza base, sauce, toppings and cheese!!!! Every thing’s perfect with this deep dish pizza, except parts of the pizza base felt little doughy. If the price doesn’t matter then this could very well be your top pick for pizza places in Toledo.
Best pizza around. Pricey, but worth it for the occasional treat.
I personally feel like this is not a good representation of deep dish pizza. If you go in here you better make sure you tell them well done....Ive been there a couple of times and granted they are busy but the deep dish is never done enough it's all partially cooked and the dough is half dry half raw...how is that possible? In terms of location it's in a great spot Next to the ball park but there are way better alternatives. I lived in Chicago and they know how to make deep dish lou malnati's pizzeria Uno And Peaquads are the standard...this pizza is far below that.
The Greektown style pizzas at Papalous were a delightful discovery in Toledo! I love the deep dish style with excellent spinach, mushrooms, and a flavorful marinara. The dough on the deep dish has good flavor. And one can get packets of red pepper flakes to sprinkle on top. At the time the Papalous restaurants were for carry out only, although they did let me eat a few slices of pizza at a socially distanced table before I got on the road again, heading south to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Great Smokies National Park.
Pizza was delicious!! One of the best deep dish I've ever tried. Their sauce is well seasoned. I got the 3 cheeses and spinach adding bacon and pepperoni. I was not disappointed.
Perfect every time! Good quick friendly service !
