I took my parents, my two kids, my gf and myself to Nick's. I've been there myself several times in the past and have not yet been disappointed. Huge portions with great service at very reasonable prices! My dad and I each ordered the gyro that in itself is easily two meals. My gf ordered a cheeseburger and was only able to finish half. My mom had a patty melt. All of which were delicious, as I had to sample everything of course!! The kids had French toast and bacon. Bring your appetite and don't worry about breaking the bank! I definitely recommend!

Slightly disappointed there was no cheese in my French Onion soup (didn't say I had to request it either). I got the cod and fry special, and by far was not special. I didn't care for the breading on the cod, but the cod was on point. Fries were DISAPPOINTING... by themselves, but coupled with the cod... good? It made absolutely no sense, but the fries were good while eating the cod at the same time.. weird! Then I was conjoled into the cheesecake, and when asked if I wanted fruit, I optioned "No", huge mistake! My first bite, I said "I should've gotten fruit"! So, why a 2 star? SERVICE!!!!! When someone comes to your restaurant and they say "I've never been here", that's the moment where you gain or lose a customer. If the service would've been more engaging, I would've had a better experience. Unfortunately, I will never know how good this place could've been.
Rick's café is a very good place to eat, they have a wide variety of food choices available. The portions are amazing. They don't have a lot of staff to serve you, but they do have people that are very friendly and quick to fulfill any one of your dining needs. Plus, the prices are very reasonable. it's worth the trip to south Toledo for a nice meal.
It's diner food. Nothing fancy! The staff was super nice and helpful. I enjoyed my meals. No complaints, but I'm not raving either. I'd definitely come back here if I wanted some good diner breakfast.
I love this place! Never disappointed. Everything I've ordered has been yumtastic! Super huge portions, prepare for a large portion leftover. The coffee is great too. I say this because you often find diners with great food and weak coffee, not here. It's great! I'm not sure if my fave is the corned beef sandwich or the farmers breakfast.
This place is a favorite of ours when we want a good meal. We've been visiting here for many years and ecen thought the Nick the original owner has passed on the food and atmosphere is still good thanks to his son that runs the place now. Anyway, I was home for the holidays and we came for breakfast. Our server was very friendly and she wore a mask for safety due to Covid19 precautions. Our food came fast, was delicuous and filling as expected. So glad this place is still around after so many years. Its a lical favorite.
They tacked on additional charges for items that I've never been charged for at other restaurants. First, their chili was overpriced at $5.99 but they asked if I wanted cheese and onions. I stated yes. When I went to pick it up, that was an additional $3.00. $9.00 for a bowl of chili. That's criminal. Did I want onions in my home fries. I said yes. They tacked on an additional $1.15. Seriously for a few chopped onions. Unlike most places that will allow you to substitute chili for soup, I was told that the owner doesn't consider it a soup. For 3 incredibly mediocre meals my total came to just under $75.00. I can eat with 2 other friends at a really NICE restaurant for about $75. Keep in mind, this was basically just 3 sandwich platters. I will never go there again and I advise you not to as well. There are much better restaurants very close by.
