Traveling south on the highway we decided to stop for ice cream. Saw Mr. G's had high ratings. Not too far off route 23. The portions are huge! I ordered a medium and at most other ice cream places it would have been a large size. Great price for the portions. Ordered a cyclone. Candy was mixed in all the way to the bottom. Delicious.

We absolutely love this staple in our community ❤️ the food is always fresh and so many desserts to choose from you could have a different treat every day of the week. ( sometimes you should since they are only open in the summer...excited for the pumpkin flavor? but NOT TRYING TO RUSH IT...)Ps...Its healthy too.. so you don't have to feel as guilty when enjoying reeces peanut butter cups!!!!! ? I've been going to Mr. G's for years. Their ice cream is the best in my opinion. Due to the rise of price in our ? world, they were forced to increase their prices. The ice cream has increased by almost $2.00. The small cone used to be $1.50...it's now $3.25. ?
Our go-to ice cream place for years. We live in Colorado now, but every time we come home to Ohio it's one of our first stops. The menu is large and varied with rotating flavors of the week (though the orange and vanilla swirl will always be my favorite!). The portions are generous, and I am never disappointed with the amount of mix-ins/toppings. My go-to is either a swirl cone or a cookie dough and peanut butter cup cyclone with chocolate ice cream. You can't beat Mr. G's price for the quality and quantity of ice cream.Beyond the amazing ice cream, there is a shaded, grassy area with benches to hang out and enjoy your treat. It's a great place to let your kids run around and get out some energy. For those who don't want to eat in, Mr. G's offers a drive thru in addition to the walk-up window. The line can be long, but it often moves quickly. I'd just avoid prime times, or park and get out if the wait is too much.Service is always friendly. Employees often go out of their way to chat or joke with my kids. Even when they've been slammed, we've never experienced a stressed or disgruntled employee.If Mr. G's ever wants to expand, please come out to the Westminster CO area!!! We are in desperate need of that midwest walk-up ice cream stand charm out there.
Amazing ice cream!! Don't be intimidated by the drive thru line just park and go up and order way faster. Chili dogs here are my new favorite in town. Will be going back.

This always has been and will be my favorite ice cream place. It's right around the corner from my mom's so much variety and flavors. My kids now my grandkids love the Smurf twist baby cones
Went on a warm day in early spring, so the line was long which we expected. They were out of some of the items needed to make our order, so we had to order something different. The ice cream was good, nothing special though.
