Really good food for a reasonable price. The portions are reasonably big. We have dined here on multiple occasions and will revisit again.
This place is a place we drive across town to eat. The margaritas are good. The queso is yum. The owners are friendly and totally make you feel like you are family there. The food is delicious. They will accommodate most every food order. And if there is any concern, they address it completely and fix it.I love the wait staff here. So many good people have been met here. And the locals that are here frequently are friendly and personable.I think this is locally our favorite Toledo restaurant.
I enjoyed the atmosphere. The "regulars" were friendly and helpful with the menu. When I eat alone I tend to sit at the bar, even though I don't drink. Service can be "hit and miss" if you are not drinking. However, the bartender was awesome and helpful as well. The food.... Mind you I am critical of food served to me. So..... chips, I liked. Salsa, not much flavor, see picture. I decided on 3 chicken tacos de carne asada. Very good presentation, plenty of chicken, tortillas were perfect, onions and cilantro spot on. However, I enjoy, to an extent, salt... they love salt. I would go back and try other dishes if I am in the area. If you can not have salt in your diet ask the wait staff for low or no salt. Overall... Enjoyed La Chalupa
Food, service and atmosphere...excellent! Never been disappointed when I have eaten there (or used carry-out). My #1 Mexican restaurant.
Chalupa is great!! I usually end up there whenever I'm back in Point Place.
Fast take out service. Excellent food.
This place is great! We’re from Chicago and are used to the time it takes for food to arrive at the table. It was such a pleasant surprise when our drinks arrived within 2 minutes of ordering them. Then our food order arrived within 10 min of ordering. The food tasted great! My Margarita was smooth and the drink menu has all the regular Mexican beers you know(except Bohemia). My Chimichanga was delicious and the combination platter was quite nice as well. Definitely worth a visit if you like Mexican food.
I ordered vegetarian fajitas, which were hot when served and quite delicious. My only complaint is that I only received 3 wraps for this enormous plate of food. But no worries, it was just as good eaten without the extra wraps.
First thing i noticed is the menu is like el camino 's if you are familiar with that place in Toledo ,,so was the food! Did a lil research and it is like a sister restaurant and basically the same ,, which is delicious! Didnt pay attention if prices are similar or the same ,we were outside and was very nice .dont have any info on the inside staff was attended
The service was good. Our waitress was very nice. I must say though I was a little disappointed with the serving of the refried beans and Mexican rice. I thought both were scanty. I'm not a huge eater, but I walked away still hungry.
