This place is great..I’ll be returning for sure.The entire staff is super friendly and cool…I can tell I got there right before it got busy..If it is busy when you get there it’s worth the wait.Promise.

Omakase was a great experience. Soft shell crab, uni, halibut and tuna belly were welcomed surprises. I learned to trust Kengo.

Omakase to go was absolutely incredible. Looking forward to one day eating in. The meal featured chef’s selection of six piece nigiri and one roll. The tuna melted in your mouth, probably the best I’ve ever had. The other portion of the meal was 7 different smaller dishes: 3 varying yakitori, 2 dumplings, seaweed salad, octopus salad, and a half grilled avocado. Wasabi is made fresh in house!! Endless compliments. I think if I could make one improvement, it would have included a soup or lettuce or potato salad rather than 2 pickled salads.
Went for the omakase experience. Easily one of the best meals I've ever had in my life, and hands down the best sushi and yakitori I've ever had. Amazing chef and one of the best restaurants in Toledo.
My boyfriend and I recently did the Omakase for my birthday and wow!! This was our first time here and our meal was an incredible experience. Every course was fantastic and fresh. Our server was attentive without being over bearing, and Chef Kengo clearly knows how to create a dish from ingredients that compliment each other perfectly. I think Kengo’s Omakase is something every sushi fanatic needs to put on their bucket list. We both agreed the bluefin tuna was the most incredible slice of raw fish either of us have ever had!
Of all the Sushi places in Toledo this is probably my favorite. From the flavor of the rice to the cuts of the fish, the chef is so meticulous with the ingredients. No soy sauce or wasabi needed. They have a good selection of the best, and yet underrated, fish from around the world. It is a true sushi connoisseur’s restaurant, and the staff are also excellent.
Kengo is hands down the best restaurant in Toledo. Every dish is a work of art, fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming and happy. I love it here!
