Well this is sad to write but this palace has gone down hill. They don't wanna give you mustard sauces for your egg rolls without giving you attitude for it.. the missed up my order again and then didn't want to even give me chopsticks like it was a issue... Looks like it's back to flower drum for me...
My family has dined at Golden Lily for many years. Followed them to their location on Reynolds even though it was a cross town drive. Their food is that good! Ash Wednesday tradition meant egg foo yung. My mom and I used to each get a different egg foo yung and share. It will always be my favorite Chinese restaurant in Toledo.
The food is still amazing, service is great, friendly and helpful. Priced perfect. Atmosphere is great, reminiscent of the downtown location, feels just right! I am missing the tempura shrimp they no longer serve it. But the egg drop soup was delicious rich and thick not runny, eggroll flavor you can't no where else! General tso chicken with ham fried rice was perfect!
Food was good. Portions are large. Service was good. Would recommend
Not like it used to be when they were downtown. The food tasted different priced way too high. Not going back and sad about that. Golden Lily (Downtown) was where my husband and I had our first date in 1989. Gave it a shot purely on nostalgic memories. It was hot, seemed freshly prepared but the taste...something was off. Sorry, I didn't want to say this but to tell the truth, its not worth the price.?
Several years ago, we made a Christmas tradition to have Chineese food Christmas day, night. Tonight, we found our new favorite restaurant; Golden Lilly on Reynolds Rd. Ive learned that we are late to the party to discover this fantastic place, but so glad we showed up at all! Merry Christmas everyone! (Dinners- General Tso chicken, almond chicken, pepper steak with onions, chicken lo mein, & vegetable lo mein and the egg rolls & vegetable rolls are the bomb!)
A Toledo hallmark. Worthy of it's name in service. Menu. And price.
Food was not to our liking. They should include hot tea with a dinner not charge for it.
They have the BEST orange chicken....you need to try it. My husband loved the veggie sub gum. He also claimed as BEST. Our son he ad the Mongolian beef. He said it's the best in all of Toledo. We've had carry out 4 times out of 5 weeks. Food is excellent..and so is staff. I highly recommended their restaurant to all.
Very friendly waitress. The food was good and the portions were decently sized. We had a big pot of tea for the table. My only complaint is that I wish the meal came with a cup of soup.
