We had a 15 minute wait before being seated (but they did call to let us know). The wait staff seemed busy and we were left with just menus for more than 25 minutes. But after that, service and the food were flawless! The sushi and sashimi were perfect as well as excellent calamari. Our waitress was attentive and even brought over club soda when my aunt got a little sauce on her shirt. Sake cocktails were also very tasty.
Started off with a couple of drinks at the bar since there was a wait on a Tuesday evening. Bartender was friendly and the drinks were fantastic! When we were seated, the server seemed hissy that we weren't prepared to order. We were in town visiting and hadn't seen our friends in nearly 2 years and were enjoying each other's company, but the server made everything feel rushed even though we were still enjoying our next round of drinks.
The sushi here is delicious. The dining room is smaller so plan to wait if it's busy. Easy to order takeout but again be ready to wait on hold for at least 5 minutes. I was on hold so long my husband drove from downtown and got there when my order was taken. He even stopped somewhere along the way to get something to eat for my grandson. Everyone is short staffed right now so pay when you order so you can grab and go otherwise you'll be waiting for the cashier to seat people, take orders, etc before you can pay.
Get sushi from here at least 2x a month. My husband and I went in there last night, around 8:00, they were closing at 9:00 PM. There was a table for 6 and a table for 3 open. We were told that they could not seat us at the table for 3 because there was only 2 of us. Called and spoke with the manager today who was not helpful. Blamed it on food prep? Was my favorite sushi place in Toledo, but will not be going back do to the poor customer service.
I have been eating at Domo since they opened. Always loved the food for the quality of the fish and rice, the creativity of the rolls, the drink menu, the atmosphere. But......come on guys what are you doing with these prices? I understand inflation, I understand that the price of SOME things have gone up. I also understand that you're raising prices because you can get away with it and you'll still have plenty of customers. For example....there is no reason besides greed for the price of a cucumber roll going from $4.50 to $7. The spicy tuna is now $11. You didn't raise prices 50 cents or a dollar but most of the rolls have gone up $2-3. It's just very obvious that you're charging way more than a fair price at this point. I can go get the same quality (if not better) fish at Kengo for more reasonable prices. Hey maybe your rent is higher, who knows. I have spent easily $2500 if not much more at Domo over the years. I probably don't want to know how much I've spent to be honest. But I just cannot in good conscience continue to pay the current prices for your food. I know you'll read this, and if you respond don't make excuses, just own that you are raising prices not because you have to but because you can.
Been to a ton of sushi places. This one was ok. Not the greatest. Kinda confusing. Nice staff. Sushi was ok. Tofu was cut way to big. Carrot cake had ice chunks in the middle.but was huge. Expensive place. Bathroom was dirty. They said presentation is everything. It all looked good. But wasn't the best I've had.
My all time go-to for sushi in Toledo! The BEST in town. High quality food and can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! Calamari appetizer is like no other restaurant we’ve tried, absolute favorite. Highly recommend sashimi & nagiri and these rolls: KC, Galaxy, Puma & Pheaonix.
Staff was so friendly. Very attentive without hovering. Drinks were perfectly made, and there were so many options. I went with "the last word" and I'm not a gin drinker but it was perfectly balanced. Appetizers were delicious and came out quick. And the sushi.... Every bite was so good. The tuna and eel were the perfect texture and flavor, rice was perfect consistency. I can't wait to come back. So impressed.
Extremely friendly and fast service! Everyone was so nice &personable! My food was AMAZING!!! &the drinks are perfect ? Highly recommend if you’re a fan of good authentic sushi. Definitely coming back again. Will probably be a regular soon??
Really just not good. I am a huge sushi fan and got multiple of their specialty roles that were varied in fish and flavor. At least I thought. The only 2 flavors that came through were deep fried or sour. We got veggie udon as well and the tempura was awful at best. Unseasoned and just straight vegetable oil taste. The pot stickers were decent but nothing to write home about. Chicken katsu was the only thing I’d consider good but even that only 3/5. For $160 meal I would’ve evaporated dramatically better. Tougen down the street is immensely better sushi for probably 1/3 - 1/2 the price.
