The atmosphere is great and the space itself is super cute, but I have to give 3 stars because my experience wasn’t great - and the customer service was really weak. My order/pickup experience was fine, but watching the barista argue with other customers and mutter rude comments under their breath after the fact was really cringey. Also, I am not a coffee drinker, and although excited to see locally roasted coffee I was vastly disappointed when I watched the barista pull out a box of Tazo Chai concentrate to mix over ice. My order was more expensive than said corporate chain, and I’m all for supporting small business… but also know Toledo has some wonderful local tea crafters that could offer a better cup of chai. Please consider offering locally crafted tea, or at least not the standard corporate chain brand concentrate :(.

I ordered a simple coconut and mocha flavored iced latte, and it couldn't have been any better. The espresso was very smooth, no bitterness at all and the drink overall was not overly sweet. I've had to have gone to almost every local coffee shop in Toledo and I'm putting my stamp on Black Kite as having the best iced lattes in town.

The guy behind the counter was rude af. The cold brew was so watered down there was barely a taste of actual coffee. I really was hoping for a good local coffee shop but first experience was horrible. I will say their bagel balls are banging but the attitude of the employee and the watery coffee killed the vibe.

What a great surprise! Grape vibe, good coffee, and tasty pastries. The artichoke spinach ball I had is made in house and had a yummy, mochi-mochi texture.

Bagel bites are so gooood , customer service was lovelyBest breakfast spot in town

I hate to give bad reviews but this is honestly due today. I try to see the good in everyone and everything but today I went to get coffee with my Fiancee after church today and she had asked what was in the winter spice blend and the guy gave her attitude and then I asked if they did pour overs and the guy said "yeah but are you sure you really want that it's going to take a long time.." as he gestured at the row of cups Infront of him. I asked him if it would be any quicker to get a latte and he said "no you'll still have to wait like everyone else." Nowhere and at no time did I ask to get my coffee before anyone else just that I wanted a pour over and the guy did everything he could to convince me not to get it like me wanting it was a burden to him. To top off the ordeal we waited forever for the coffee and then he was yelling out a completely different name than mine when we picked it up. The guy never once even apologized for any bit of this and I was very close to walking out the entire time. Honestly I don't know if I would ever go back to this place especially after how that guy treated me and my fiancee. If this is how you feel it's okay to treat people when they ask for something then that's sad.

I had such a lovely experience here! On a grey day it was a nice cozy find. I had a winter spice orange latte with almond milk and it was the perfect amount of spice and mildly sweet. I also was surprised to find they had gluten free and vegan options. I myself bought the peanut butter chocolate bar and it was quite tasty! A little on the sweet side for me, but still amazing that they have these bars to offer. There's not much around the area, but a quiet place to hang out with friends or get some work done.

I moved back to Toledo, Ohio in 2015! I am SO upset with myself. That I never toke the time to check this place out. When my son visits Toledo, Ohio. He makes sure he stops at this Café/Small restaurant. I went in to get something specific, what I wanted was a seasonal item. I was told about the “ Bagel Ballbagel stuffed with cream cheese, roasted red peppers & scallions, with strawberry mixed in” hands down DELICIOUS!!! Well worth the money. Trust me, this place is my go to for now on.One of Toledo’s best! Friendly Staff and Great Beverage and Food Options. Very creative indeed. I love the brunch options. Ample parking spaces and street parking available. Big windows for natural light.

OMG! As I was waiting on my car to get finished so I asked what was this place across from his shop? He said a coffee shop so I walked over there and it is awesome. The service was amazing and I even met channel 11 news reporter at the same place.
