Green, tees and fairways very good condition. The roughs are tall and made hunting for balls an adventure. Slowed our play a good bit. Will definitely play there again soon. We did a replay and the clubhouse was very accommodating.

The Stables Restaurant at Windy Knoll is one of Springfield's most underrated places. The food is great and the prices are great. When you combine that with a down to earth staff, you have a place that you can call you brunch, lunch or culinary home.

2 star course with 2 star maintenance. "Ranger"/ "starter"/ "greeter" if you want to call him that was rude and mouthy before we even walked in the doors. Followed by mild attitude from the counter. Back 9 path layout makes no sense. Your rough is just lazy mowing and you dont even keep the switch grass down on the tee boxes for whatever reason. You don't even have a real starter to mitigate your tee offs yet your attitude demeanor is sub par. Good luck fixing it.

Course is in decent shape .Great price after 3 pm on weekends .fast greens and challenging

Windy Knoll Golf Club... Just by the name alone you can tell you're about to play an excellent round of Golf. 18 holes or 9, you will have a blast on the course. I was there with a good friend of mine and I shot photography of him playing a round. When we got on the course it was a sight to see, my first time on that course and to see how clean it was and to see the views and experience the environment. I was excited to see the other parts of the course that you don't get to see from the road. Everything make sense there. Where there is a prairie like environment, it's meant to be there to show where the course is going. I loved that. Plus it's allowing for nature to be thrive and be nature. The clubhouse is pretty sweet, clean, and what looked to be, an up to date clubhouse. Like I said, everything makes sense there. The Bar and Restaurant area is beautiful, it's cleaned up and looks like a proper place to be. The patio sits on the other side of the driveway and is right by the 18 so you can watch people finish off what is and will be an excellent round of Golf for them. I don't know what else to say. If you had to chose any golf course in Springfield, bucket just Springfield, in the Miami Valley, go to Windy Knoll. Its worth the trip to Bechtle Ave and worth the time to come to Springfield where can also find some other good local spot to enjoy sometime.Thank you for reading, God's Grace and Blessings be with you!

Absolutely 5 stars...everything was spot on and clearly a top knotch operation. Drove from Powell Ohio to meet a family member and play halfway between us. I've played many of excellent courses in the Columbus area for years and was very surprise to find a public course that delivered everything a private course would offer. Great tee boxes, beautiful fairways, challenging greens that were rock solid true and fast, water that comes into play on many holes. Better be on your game, or it can get ugly quick.Definitely worth the drive (60min) not to mention very reasonable rates to ride...played on a Wednesday afternoon 4hrs, didn't see anyone in front or behind us on the back nine period.Check it out you'll be glad you did!

Great track. Tough but fair. Awesome people and service

I normally do not take the time to write reviews on anything, but recently I decided to start giving feedback and reviews since 50% of whether I may play a new course comes from players reviews. So I have decided to break this down into two different reviews, the overall course itself, and then the overall experience itself. From a pure golf aspect, this course gets an absolute 5 rating. It is beautiful, challenging, well maintained, fair, and the greens might be the best public greens that I have ever played on. Large greens, fast, and everyone was in great shape and all consistent with each other. There is not one thing negative I can say about the course itself. From an overall experience, I am going to get a little picky, but I want to preclude that my overall rating of the course and in general was a 5 star rating. My overall experience rating is a 4/5.The Pro Shop was pretty much just a building with not much in it. If you wanted to buy a hat, nice shirt, shoes, gloves, then you can pretty much not worry about it, because they had very little to pick from, if at all.The scorecard is as plain as you can get, however, you are given a color booklet that details everything about the course, the history, course map, and the best part is that it breaks down each individual hole with a description, yardage, green and hole layout. Truly priceless. I have only every seen this twice before at any other course. There were basically no yardage markers on the course. We found 1 on the first hole, but nothing after that. It did not affect us at all since we had GPS on our phones, however if you are playing this course without any type of GPS, you will be out of luck. The markers on the tee boxes need to be upgraded. They were horseshoes since the overall theme of the course is built on the former WIndy Knoll Horse Farm. The horseshoes are just to small, were missing, or needed some paint. This could easily and I think relatively inexpensively be upgraded to make the tee boxes look awesome. So please keep in mind, the overall rating for this course was an absolute 5.We drove from Mason, OH, so it was around 60 minute drive, but this was so well worth it. We have only played this once, but both my son and I agree that Windy Knoll now is ranked in our Top 3 courses that we play, and that expands to the Cincinnati area, Northern Kentucky, and now Springfield. We will most certainly be playing this course again. Thanks for a great experience Windy Knoll

Beautiful course, well maintained, very playable, home of the high school OHC tournament.

Got harassed here by the ranger on 9/4/21. Told us we were two holes behind on #7 and we completed 9 holes in 2:07. The average foursome doing so in 2:10. Guy called us tough guys and yelled many profanities. Not very professional or gentleman like for a “Gentleman’s Game”. Guy needs reeled in real quick. Told us to report him because he “doesn’t give a F—-“. Emailed the course, via the contact page, never responded. They clearly care about their reputation. Beautiful course but because of that rangers actions, none of us will be back. We’re absolutely average golfers at best, but played best ball to supplement that. The ranger on a power trip ruined the day. Didn’t know we were on tour.
