We have been getting carry out Cameo pizza for years from this location. We did so again in June. However one evening we decided to eat in the bar area of the restaurant. We checked the menu on-line before going and had our hearts set on the Steak Sub. We seated ourselves at a high top table near the bar, and looked at the menu. Imagine our surprise that the menu had shrunk down such that there were only like 3 sandwich choices none of which were steak. When the bartender asked from behind the bar as we were seated at a table, what we wanted to drink, we asked about the steak sub. She was insistent that the menu in front of us was accurate and they haven't had a steak sub on the menu for a very long time. This was not done in a friendly manner. When I mentioned the web site, she even became more insistent that there has not been a steak sub for as long as she has been there. We decided to leave, but while we were getting it together to do so, I brought up the Sandusky Cameo web site's menu on my cell and showed her the steak sub on the menu. She had no comment. I don't mind that restaurants change their menu. Clearly Cameo's formally extensive menu has been downgraded to include pizza and 3 sandwiches only. What I do mind is their web site is not updated to reflect the changes. With most of their summer revenue coming from out of towners such as my party, we heavily rely on the web site to decide where and when we will have dinner. The surly bartender left us wondering after we drove away if she gave us a complete menu. Sadly we will never know.
Great pizza and salad for the whole family. We ordered a large salad with a ton of toppings. The ranch was good - the house dressing was not per my wife. The round pizza was cooked well with tangy red sauce, peperoni and mushrooms. They do not flavor the crust which was a disappointment (maybe it's a Michigan thing). Waitress did a good job for a table of 8 that we had (including kids). We did not go upstairs as there was a private event but the place was cool on the inside. Lots of TVs to watch as well as the bar area and décor. Highly recommend for dine in or carry out.
Have not been to Cameos in awhile. We were not made aware that they add a surcharge to the bill for using your credit card until we received our bill. Is it posted somewhere and we did not see it?
Love their pizza. Hate their hours which are ridiculously short.
Ordered chicken delicacy pizza with rosaries garlic bbq and added bacon. Fantastic place and great food.
Dilly bread. Can't find it on menu. I think it was under cheese bread. Dill pickles on it. Amazing! Never had anything like it before. Great appetizer! Love other food like pizza and chicken salad, too. All good.
ordered food went to pick up noticed some food was missing had to.wait for them to cook it meanwhile the otherfood got cold. salad was brown and nasty and the rest wasnt anything to write home about. wont eat here again.
The pizza is fabulous, friendly service and a great place to watch a ball game!
The pizza rocks! Friendly staff! Lots of TVs to watch football. We will definitely be back for another pizza soon!
