I’ve been going to Happy Star for a couple years and have never had any complaints when the young girl and I believe her parents were running the place. Since the restaurant have been under new management I’ve been disappointed every trip. The food no longer taste good the service I isn’t as efficient. Today I order chicken wings and The combination General Tso chicken and my rice was burnt and tasted like burnt food. The general Tso’s chicken didn’t taste like the correct sauce. I decided today was enough i decided to call and make a complaint. The person I spoke with on the phone said “ok, what do you want to do” I said excuse me not an apology or an ounce of sympathy. Then they offered a refund or new order but I declined because I was on my lunch break and don’t Olán on going back due to the quality of food and poor customer service. Bring back the original Owners!!!

This was our go to place for Chinese food. The new management has seemed to pitched all the old recipes and gone full GFS. On top of that they raised their prices. Fried noodles are stale, General Tso’s was weak and soft, not crisp at all, and the lomein has very little meat and almost no veggies. It’s not even food court level chinese now.

So I was not aware of the new management that took place just over a week ago upon ordering my food last night. Let me say, I will not be going back and this disappoints me. I found Happy Star after I moved to Reynoldsburg but since moving to Pickerington, I still was going there. The food last night was not familiar at all. The sweet and sour sauce was blood red. The won ton soup broth had heat. The general Tso's was a congealed mess with black sauce almost. On top of the mixed veggies and rice were all mushy and had mushrooms, green beans and so much cabbage. It was not good at all.I do not know the reasons for old management of leaving but until they were to come back with the original cooks, I sadly will have to find a new place to try to become my staple.

The food is amazing. My friend got the General Tso chicken and I got the House Lo Mein and Won Ton Soup. His chicken was juicy and delicious - he loved every bite. The House Lo Mein is so full of meat and veggies - best I've ever had. The Won Ton Soup was so good and the house made crunchies with it just made it better.Just watch out for the older lady, her math isn't so good and she tried to overcharge me by about $3 lol. Lots of character here, that cook deserves a raise ?

Love this place but their prices have really went up. :(

When I called to place a take-out order on a random Thursday, they told me the wait was an hour long...which I take as a really good sign in a Chinese take-out place! All the food was excellent, it was steaming hot when we picked it up, and the prices can't be beat! Definitely worth the stop! The only way it could be better is if they offered delivery!

The food is always the best and the prices are inexpensive. My favorite Chinese spot

Sesame chicken, egg foo young, teriyaki beef sticks, fried rice. All excellent and great prices. Only complaint is too much white onion, but not a deal breaker just ordered with less.

This place is wonderful for delicious fresh food and wonderful customer service. The lady who always takes my orders is always friendly & polite and what I love the most is that she repeats your order back to you to make sure it's correct. Thank you so much. I wish this business nothing but the best.

Family owned business that really takes pride in their work. It shows because they always get your order correct and the food is good, hot and abundant!
