The food was fine, the staff was nice, but the service was pretty atrocious. There was no one really visible to help seat us when we arrived but ultimately we stopped a waitress walking around and got ourselves a table on the patio. From there it took our waiter about 10 minutes to show up, after we had already sent a member of our party to get our own menus. That was the consistent theme of the night. Just no service anywhere. And the patio was in total disarray. There was a clearly broken chair at our table when we arrived. The wind was blowing napkins and to-go containers on the outside bar all over the patio, and the only people with the interest in cleaning things up and putting a weight on the things getting blown around were other customers.I made a bathroom trip at one point and the staff inside was friendly and helpful, but I also noticed next to the bathroom was another back entrance where I could see my waiter who had been missing the past 15 minutes smoking a cigarette. I've worked in the service industry, I get it that people need breaks, but this wasn't a very busy night and our server was always missing. And having the employee smoke spot in such a conspicuous area I thought was just setting it up for angry customers. When our food did arrive, my friend (who was a former waiter) commented that it was cold and had been obviously been left out waiting to be delivered to customers. Most people thought their food was good otherwise, though I didn't care much for the stuffed veal. Thought it was just way too heavy. Maybe I should have expected that though. When we got in the car my friend's father said that he definitely had enough German food for the foreseeable future, and the mom commented that the next time we'd go somewhere else after such bad service. I don't say this as a threat because I think the "we'll take our business elsewhere" threat kind of empty on these reviews, but know that I'm from out of town, and all my party had been building up excitement for this dinner for a few days, and then pretty much the whole party was fully disappointed in the experience last night. And I say that out of guilt because the staff all seemed like cool people I'd like to hang out with otherwise, but if they were in charge of my business, I'd have some angry conversations with them after that unacceptable (FRIDAY NIGHT!) dinner performance.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for one of the best meals I've had in a long time. It was crazy busy with parties of 15 and 30 coming in and your serving staff was amazing to our party of 5. Whatever you're doing keep doing it.

Food was good, service not so good. They tried to sit us at a very tiny table and in the middle of our meal the manager took a chair we were using when my boyfriends little boy went to the bathroom, just grabbed it and walked away for another guest so kinda rude. We waited over an hour for food so it was nice to try something different but will not return. Also was asked if I was done with my beer because she needed the mug.

Great food, friendly service a little small inside but food was absolutely Amazing

The new bartender at Das Schnitzel named Mick was a great guy. He really knew every beer and all about making and mixing drinks. Great addition to a wonderful place.

Phenomenal in absolutely every way....lol! I know that sounds over the top but every once in a while you find the perfect restaurant. For us we will never stop dining here!! Give it a try if you like German food!! 5 stars from my wife and myself!!

We were in the area and just stopped in for dinner. We were so happy that we did. The place was very busy on a Friday evening, so we waited for a short period for a table. The waitress seemed to be covering multiple tables (not surprising in today's labor shortage), but she was very friendly and attentive. The food was exceptional. I had the stuffed cabbage, which came with sauerkraut (outstanding) and for my side I got the cucumber salad---just like my mom used to make. My husband got the Jaeger Schnitzel with an added ($2) of pierogi. The portions were large, so we ended up taking some home (extra bonus!). Sadly, we were too full for dessert, but we plan on returning soon. I would recommend this place---even if not in Parma like us---well worth it for us to make a 30 minute drive.

Stopped by for dinner, very nice cozy restaurant with authentic German food. Parking was tough due to the mountains of snow piled out. Service, food, and prices are very good. Highly recommend the pork crackling appetizer! My spatzle side was slightly undercooked but not inedible.

One of the best German restaurants around. Large portions mean you'll never go away hungry and great food means you'll never go away unhappy. It may take time to be seated as they don't take reservations on groups less than 8 but if you have to wait, its well worth it.Don't forget to try their house line of beers as well! They're very good!Picture is of the sauerbraten with spatzle. Very, very good!

We went for my Birthday food and service was fantastic. Great atmosphere as well… I will definitely be back and will recommend this restaurant to everyone… Also they have the best bread I’ve ever had in my life… I wish I had the bread recipe lol
