Probably the worst taco salad I have ever had, a bunch of huge chicken pieces that had to be cut up. Runny beans on the bottom, a bit of lettuce, tomato and cheese on top. If you wanted sour cream and guacamole that was an extra charge. Service was minimal and prices were high. Salsa runny and not very tasteful. Choose another place.
First time eating at the new location and I love the decor. This has a modern Aztec/Mayan feel, as the old place had a 70's cantina feel to it. But I still loved the mural around the entire restaurant.Always a fan of the food here. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
Nuevo Acapulco used to be my absolute FAVORITE authentic Mexican restaurant. Last night, I had a terrible dining experience there. No host seating. Chips & salsa brought right away, but NO drink order taken. In fact, we waited at least 15 minutes before our waitress greeted us. Drinks and water ordered. This took at least 10 minutes to get our margaritas. We were hoping for bigger drinks, but that wasn't even offered! Now, the place wasn't crowded, and there was plenty of wait staff - so, that wasn't the issue. But, we felt virtually ignored. My fajitas came to me separately- tortillas first, then side, then sizzling fajitas. I always order their fajitas. This order was sub-par - no flavor. Disappointing. I will now look elsewhere for authentic Mexican food.
LARGE portions. Tuesday is the enchiladas special. Delicious! I ordered four, and took two home for tomorrow's lunch. Service was considerate, and friendly, but slow. As it is at many places due to staffing issues/ covid. I shared the spacious bar seating area with a group of eight and a couple at the bar. There are multiple TVs, with several easily viewed simultaneously.
I've never been here before. At first glance, it looks like a small, tucked away place. But when you walk through the front door, you see how big the place truly is. We had a group between 35-50 show up for a special event on 2/22/22 to commemorate such a once in a lifetime date. Now I've been to many Mexican restaurants in my lifetime. Some great and some not so much. But for me to sit down and actually write a review means they went above and beyond. The staff was super friendly, accommodating, and the atmosphere was great. I saw the electronic signs asking us to be patient as they were understaffed. I already prepared myself for much slower than normal wait times. Yet, that was in vain because not only did they get water, chips, my meal, and check all out in a timely manner, they did it faster than some fully staffed places I've been to. The waitress, who was a delight, apologized for the delays and I told her not to because that was some of the best service I have had in a while, and yes, she was tipped well. They managed to handle all of us with ease while taking care of the rest of the restaurant. I think it's safe to say I've found a new favorite spot to go when I'm feeling down for some delicious Mexican cuisine.
Great food and spacious dining area. I had heard they don't usually have a large crowd inside and I'm not sure why. Delicious enchiladas, quesadillas, and, of course, margaritas. Would definitely recommend stopping by to try it. Parking is a bit of an issue, but otherwise it's a place to try for sure.
We've been going here many years. Tonight they charged us a different price than the week before. When I questioned the waitress she went to the desk ( They were looking at us) then came back and said we changed the price then took extra food out of our already packed to go bag!! What!! You charge us a different price then take food out of our bag! That's wrong!!!!
I have romanticized memories of Nuevo Acapulco from my childhood and their old location. But in 2021, I don’t think their food is that great and the atmosphere in the new restaurant isn’t the same. The burrito I got tonight, as well as the rice and beans, had very little flavor. There is much better Mexican food in Cleveland.
This place is amazing. The food is absolutely delicious. Comes out of kitchen quick. No complaints.
This place absolutely always delights me. From friendly staff, delicious margaritas, huge portions and you've gotta love the chips and salsa. One of my favorite places in this area.
