Swenson's has always been my favorite drive in restaurant but has gone downhill over the last couple years. They used to have crispy great fries and great ranch but they changed their fries and ranch and now we don't order them, which is a shame. We are there a week ago, and their buns were stale and their poppers were chewy and old. We may stop going there all together. They need to bring back their old fries and ranch dressing and make their food hot and fresh!!! Servers are usually all great though!!! Please stop changing your menu and be more consistent with hot quality food!
On terms of “fast food” this could be the one and only 5 star for me, and it was for a while. This place has amazing food and don’t even get me started on the shakes lol. The only downfall is the inconsistency. I can order here one night and it be 5/5 best “fast food” I’ve ever had, and then the next night be a 2/5. What they are trying to do and have been doing for almost 100 years is amazing and the food is great but so inconsistent. I’ve gotten a burger from here that I swear was only cooked for 20 seconds, but the very next time was the most perfectly cooked burger I could have asked for. This happens almost every other time for me, but I keep coming back because I’m this days it’s good it’s beyond amazing. I don’t know what it is that makes the inconsistency so bold but if they can figure that out I have no reason to buy any other “fast food” in the area this is FLAT OUT the best if it’s on a good day.
The best quality customer service is delivered by a server by the name of Brock. I visited the North Canton stand today and was greeted by a server named Nevada and Brock was there as well. Both of these young men are outstanding. In particular I have been waited on by Brock at several locations and he is always on the go, assisting and serving as well as watching for cues that a customer needs attention and is right there to address a need. I hope that Swensons knows and observes what they have in an employee such as Brock. He is just excellent at what he does regardless of the weather, time of day, or any other condition. He is totally focused on meeting the needs of the customers he is waiting on. WTG North Canton Swensons!!
We called ahead to place our order. It took 15 minutes for someone to come to our car. In fact the one person working outside keep ignoring us. Finally my husband had to honk the car horn to Get someone's attention. Food was cold. I called to complain and the person I spoke to is sending out a gift card to cover the cost. We had the same bad service at the Wales Rd. location a few years ago and have never been back......
I have been coming there for a long time. Today I went and placed my order on the lot. Waited 30 minutes and had to turn my lights on to see where my order was. As everyone else that came after me got their food. After 30 minutes they then came back out and told me they was out of bacon and was dropping it now. I ordered 2 triple cheese burgers, a grilled chicken sandwich, two BLT's one with extra bacon, two fries and a fried mushroom. Then you wait 30 minutes and for me to ask where my food is to tell me. I was very disappointed with your servers. They rather mess around talking with their friends in the 3 cars next to me then worry about my order. I left cause I was not waiting any longer for them to make my food. Cause like I said I was already there for 30 minutes waiting. I called the store and talked to the manager. He did do his best to make things better but it probably will be a long time before I come back.
Swensons is one business that is good one day and bad the next. But one thing I love about the place is their service and how sweet the servers are. Today I had a young man named Ricky help me and seemed to be the only server on the shift running around from car to car. Sweetest young man I’be encountered at this establishment so far.
I usually have nothing but complaints about this jackson location. Foods usually cold or seeming like it was reheated, servers constantly walking past my car when I’m ready to order. Or best of all the food taking 25 minutes to come out. That wasn’t the case today. First I had a very respectful handsome young man named Ricky serve me today. He had the biggest smile greeting me and had my food out in under 10 minutes. I started thinking Swensons was going to go downhill but this experience gave me some hope.
I love swensons and their burgers but in the last year or so they are down in food quality. Please, please stop serving the burgers well done. Dry galley boy and cold fries make me want to cry. Please cook it less
The galley boy is the BEST burger in the country. Every time we come here we have great service, this time Ricky was awesome to us, answered all of our question and was very helpful. 10/10
Best burger in the entire country, in my opinion. Much better than In n' Out, Five Guys, etc. My order is a galley boy, potato teezers, and a large California. Can't recommend them enough. They catered my wedding though, so I am very biased.
