Extremely disappointing. Ordered Alfredo with “grilled” chicken. It was the worst dish I’ve ever had. The chicken was from a can and pretty sure the Alfredo sauce was in powder form with water added to it. Pizza was made on a crust that was thinner than a cracker and missing toppings. Was offered the toppings on the side if I still wanted them. First and last time eating here. Such a shame.. was really looking forward to homemade Italian dishes
Ordered off DoorDash and it was delivered hot and in a timely fashion. The sauce is a spot-on imitation of Hunts meat flavored pasta sauce in a can. The spaghetti noodles were mushy. The garlic bread wasn't properly toasted. The soup was chicken broth with pulpy bits of chicken floating around and was flavorless. The pizza is cracker-crust type and I know I've had a store-bought just like it, but can't remember which one right now (maybe Freschetta thin crust?). The meatballs were dry and also tasted pre-packaged. I was attracted to this place because of the cheaper prices and promise of homemade food. It did not deliver and the price turned out to not be that impressive for what I got.
I’m a dasher and just showed up at 1:20 pm Wednesday. The only times that are correct are on google the signs on the door and window both say 11 am open. I had an order(they can set times for DoorDash to say open or closed) I LEGITIMATELY WALKED IN to no lights, nothing. The tv was on. Doors unlocked. If I was a bad person I could’ve robbed them honestly. I tried calling to atleast leave a voicemail but no voicemail box was available. Honestly it’s funny how bad the situation is. Even DoorDash was surprised
Been here before but a few years ago since I live 10 miles away. Their food is good but their portions on the baked ziti are smaller in my opinion. I always get it. This time is was smaller. The ones who got the eggplant parmigiana had a healthy portion of pasta. The quality is very good. The service was friendly but didn’t refill drinks. I have never had a bad meal here. Pasta dishes range from 8-11 with meatballs being $1.50 each but are close to 2 inches in diameter. They have a different pasta special each day. Seniors 20% discount on Tuesday 55 and older.
Madma guzzardis has is still a great North Canton italian restaurant. We have been coming for over 15 year plus. Clean and friendly. Dont miss this gem. Pasta and meatballs are
Nice cozy place. Been a cook for a long time time in some nice restaurants and I can tell you the creamy Italian dressing and the marinara sauce was bland as can be. Cheap prices but I guess you get what you pay for. Ordered spag w meat sauce and two meat balls and got marinara instead. Garlic bread was also flavorless. Ordered take out or would have sent it back Woulda been back but there's lots of better choices within 5 miles of this location. Serving staff was nice and worked hard when I went on 12/14.
This is used to be an OK place to grab a bite to eat. But it has become a restaurant purgatory. Service is slow. Food is mediocre. Staff is rude. We could deal with the food quality to support a local business. But the slow service and rude staff make it a nonstarter at this point. We have visited at least twice in the last month or so and it’s been the same each time. The lady who seems to be the head server is more interested in flirting with the kitchen staff than serving the customers. She becomes easily defensive if there is any question about the order. She is nowhere to be found at most points during the meal. She is curt and sneering in most interactions. The food has also deteriorated. The sauce is thin, soupy, and bland. The pasta is watery and overcooked. The meatballs are dense and flavorless. The garlic bread is still pretty good, however. It’s really too bad. Local restaurants are the backbone of a community. Unfortunately, Mama Guzardo’ sis just not worth the effort at this point. There are other local Italian places that have friendly service and good food. I’d recommend passing on Mama’s and finding a place where the servers are interested in serving and the food is full flavored.
Food and service has declined in the last 6 months. Tasteless thin sauce. Meatballs hard as rocks. Sad
Visited from florida and was some of the best italian in ever have had.
Husband liked the stuffed shells. Meatballs had no flavor, texture was weird, like the meat had been pureed and then compressed into meatballs.
