We were seated quickly but the service was so slow. Took about 10 min before someone came for our drink order. It was delivered by someone else and not right the size and the wrong drink. We tried to tell the waitress but said she didn't understand us. So we dropped it. Food was good but we left our left overs on the table before we got to the door everything on our table had been cleared. They pitched our box while we were still in the restaurant. So strange.
Delicious food, a lot of variety on the menu and courteous and fast service.
I asked for my meal to have the spicy queso blanco. I got a meal covered in shredded mozzarella instead of the cheese dip. Then when I pointed this out I got charged additional $3.99 for cheese dip they brought I didn't even eat. Food was flavorless to begin with. I won't be back. El Campasinos is mucho better, go there. They don't serve salsa, they serve tomato sauce they pour from a pancake syrup container.
The Barbacoa Tacos were a pleasant surprise! I believe that they are a limited time menu item, but were well prepared. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the meal. It was quieter and cleaner than El Campesinos. The food had less flavor than El Campesinos, and for those who enjoy the Mexican music and atmosphere... El Camps wins again. El Campesinos remains my top choice for authentic Mexican food, but Tlaquepaque is a nice way to switch up food choices; especially if you want to have a conversation over dinner.
First time eating here and it was amazing. The food was fresh and honestly the best I have had in a long time. Although you could tell they were short staffed and very busy our waiter kept his cool and was very nice and did an amazing job with multitasking. That was the best service and food ever. ??
The food was decent and the portions were huge. My only issue was the drink I ordered was very bitter and the waiter was very quiet and disengaged.
We had a wonderful family dinner here this evening. They have the best cheese quesadillas I have ever had! I love the vegetarian meal options :) The service was wonderful also! We have definitely chosen our go to local Mexican restaurant ❤

Family favorite. We can all 5 eat for less than $40 and it's SO good! Service is always awesome and quick, food is always fast and delicious. We opt for dine in so we can eat lots of chips and salsa while we wait (queso blanco too!).
Have enjoyed their other store on Dressler and decided to try this one. I wasn't disappointed. Very good food. The service was fast and very friendly. And the prices were very reasonable. Plan to leave with a doggie bag.
