Best onion rings in Newark hands down. Also had the Reuben sandwich and it was better than most area restaurants. We typically go for ice cream but just discovered a new dining destination!
Don't be fooled by the name. THIS IS NOT AN ISLE. ITS A HUT. I get the slooshies here and the smoothies. I EAT THEM. Peanut butter can be mixed with chocolate to great effect. I WISH I INVENTED IT
They have delicious Coney dogs and great ice cream!
Took my two boys there for cheeseburgers and ice cream for dinner last night and as usual it was as good as expected. Girls that work there are always pleasant and treat us so well. So is a treat for a family to get to go down there.
Ok I love this place, great food and MOST of the time the service is friendly and great! That being said go to one of their other locations IF you’re wanting their specialty flavor because when they had Smurf ice cream the machine wasn’t working, now they have lemon and guess what? It’s not working again. Seems like they need a new machine or something, I know they’ve said they have had service come look at it but this is now the start of the second month they’ve had issues. Only other “complaint” is when you order a large ice cream cone they claim to weigh it every time (I’ve never witnessed this anytime I’ve been there) and they give you a medium!
Went there this evening, waited 35 minutes for food. Spent $14 and food was not worth eating. Double hamburger was crispy and hard and cold. Fried mushrooms were cold inside. hot dogs are skinny and tasteless. won't be going back, after years of going there.
We went on a very cold day, had to wait a bit but our orders were fantastic and the staff was all very friendly.
Have loved going here since I was a kid! Now I can stop and get my kiddos a treat and the dog!
Terrible experience. Been going here for years and it just seems to get WORSE AND WORSE.. terrible customer service the “manager” got our order wrong and was told about it and I was told “she didn’t hear us” we spent $35 and told us we needed to reorder the $3 item. Any decent customer service would have just gave the item to us..I explained the situation and she told me to reach out on Facebook. Any manger would make the customer happy and make things right.. not to mention all food items were COLD.. I’m hoping the church st is better? I love going to the dairy isle but 30th has lost all business from my family and I. Also wouldn’t have been a big deal if they didn’t have a minimum on a debit
Ice cream always excellent food always excellent service definitely could be improved staff not very friendly very disorganized when it comes to which window the food is coming out of need a third window just for food distribution like the ice cream place in Hebron Ohio staff was not friendly did not even get a smile
