The service was 5 star! The server couldn't have been more attentive, but the barbeque was strickly bush league. I barbeque frequently and as a professional chef produce excellent barbeque, but, I swear this was reheated from barbeque made somewhere else and sent to the location in Newark. Don't think anything is cooked on site here.The waitress salvaged the stars and was solely responsible for the three stars.I paid the bill and tipped her well, but there was plenty of food left behind on the plate. No "dog bag" from here!
Tried this place for the first time today. This came highly recommended from my brother and sister in law. To say everyone in our party was disappointed is an understatement. My 6 french fries that i got with my sandwich platter were cold, BLACK and soggy. The pulled pork was dry and burned.It took forever for a to go order. The staff was not well trained, no one seemed to have any idea what they were supposed to be doing or how to do. Will not be a returning customers. Very disappointed. Less than 1 star if that was possible. ?
My husband and I decided to try this place out a few days ago and thought the food was so good. Everything we ate was amazing! We talked this place up to a bunch of people and decided to take a friend there today. I am not sure what happened between our first visit and today but...the service was poor to say the least. All of our food was mixed up and the person bringing us our food attempted to pick my salad off my husband's tray with her hand to put it on my plate. I stopped her from doing so because it seemed weird to me that she would take they hand route verses using utensils but whatever...then once we had all the correct sides with the correct meat in front of the correct people....the food was horrible!!! We were so disappointed considering how amazing it was just days before. We even ordered more food since we were so impressed the first time and walked out this time $78.00 poorer with 85% of the food going into the garbage. Extremely disappointed.
I stopped in for a 1/2 rack to go. Please keep in mind I have traveled a lot. I don't think there ribs are for me! I'm not to sure about the other food they have there. I would not buy ribs again. They had a very well done layer on the top. The price's seemed expensive to me.
Both times I was last and year before Covid and take out last year was Awesome!!! Wait Staff very good!!! The drinks are tasty ?

Their food is great when you go but if you order ahead to pick up your food is always gonna be cold 3 times now manager wants to give 7.00 credit after she tells me, her staff messed up and my food sat 25mins before I picked it up. I'll only eat there for now on!
They have really small portions for the prices,they are not that good,waste of money,I'll never go back.
We ordered two sandwiches and two meat plate with a brownie and Pecan pie. The food we got was great. Thetford sandwiches that were supposed we to be kielbasa jalapeños and cheddar cheese , nope not what we received , got one sandwich that was kielbasa only. One would think that when someone has a 52.00 order they could actually get it right. Damn us for not checking the doordash when it arrived. Dam Dickies for not getting our order correctly. Too bad there isn't a BBQ place in Newark that actually gets orders correctly.
Meat was dry not a place for hard core barbecue person who nose maybe it was a bad day
