My daughter grandchildren and I went in today and had theost awful experience. 2 bites into our meal my daughter had a roach in her food. We didn't think to take pictures. When I went up and told them we were told we had to pay anyway. The ladies were talking Chinese so we didn't understand what they were saying. The most expensive 2 bites of food we have ever had. We feel this could have been handled better. We will not be returning
Took a party of five here on 4:30PM on a Tuesday. My first impression was 'dirty.' I observed napkins and other trash stuck between the outer windows and inner booths. Inside was dark, the dining room lights and wall mounted television were off.The food was plentiful, dinner service had begun and the kitchen staff was beginning to load up the buffet with higher end foods. I had some pork ribs and chicken. It was filling, but lacking in flavor. I paid $75 for the meal plus a tip. Don't think I'll be back.
Went at 7:30pm. All the food was old and cold. I got a variety of items and each seemed worse than the last. Told the waitress it was cold and she just took my plate away. We decided to leave at this point and I told the cashier our food was cold and we didn’t eat. She asked me to show her which foods were cold, so we went to the buffet and she touched one of the pieces of chicken and said “it’s not cold”. So I said "taste it" and she took a tiny bite and said "it's hot". I'm sorry but is that how you temp your food!? Gross and shameful.
I visited Chengs on Deo Dr. Monday afternoon after 15 years of odering elsewhere because I was in the neighborhood. Oh, my! I hope the food quality has seriously declined because, back in the day, I used to think it was good. My “spicy garlic” dish tastes like it’s got a cup of sugar in it. It makes me sad and also nauseous. ??
It was fine but workers kept hovering over us kind of being pushy and it was a little stressful trying to eat and peace.
Very clean, staff was really friendly, buffet was great. And we would go back. Keep up the great work.

If your sign says you're open until 930pm, you should be feeding customers until 930pm. 4 of us came in at 815pm and half the buffet was empty. That's understandable considering we were the only people in the place, but they were so eager to close that they started packing up the rest of the food and throwing it away before 9pm.
Good choices. Recommend getting there earlier than later.
