Damn do you get a TON of food. Every pasta plate was huge. The meatballs were huge and tasty. The sauce was good but a tad overly salty. Gnocchi was perfect consistency but I decided I don't really like the doughyness of it (nothing against the restaurant). Cavatelli was good. Chicken parm w side of spag..massive. All in all it was great except the beginning. The greeting was sadly lacking. Our server was phenomenal though.
Is their customer service good? Nope, it's absolutely terrible. Is their wait time good? Nope, you're gonna wait half an hour minimum- more if it's takeout. Is their food good? Eh, it's the best you'll find around here! As an Italian NYer, I'll keep coming back because they're the best in Mentor, which really isn't saying much. But they really need to work on their customer service. Every time I've ordered they've been jerks. To be transparent, I only order off their menu with no alterations. Also, their veal is very tough. If you're looking for service, go somewhere else
PERFECTION! We had a bite to eat and then ordered a pizza to go. I had a meatball sub and my husband had the Italian sub...both were excellent. The sauce on my sub and on the pizza was the best I've ever had. And the meatballs in my sandwich and the sausage on the pizza were both outstanding. We WILL be back to try their dinners. Our server, Tracie was terrific!
Excellent portions and tasty food. In additional to the regular Italian menu, they have weekend specials to accommodate a wide variety of tastes, from stuffed cabbages to barbeque ribs. I always come home satisfied, stuffed and with enough leftovers for another meal (or two)!
Love the chicken parm. Love the food in general. Great little restaurant and the take out never disappoints!
Normally order takeout but this night mybwife and son really wanted to go out to eat. Food was great and service was quick. Only had one problem my set of silverware was dirty. Handed it over to the server, they swapped it right away, and were very apologetic.
They have messed up our orders on several occasions, and unfortunately, today was the last straw. This last time, they gave us the wrong entree and the wrong salad dressing. The salads were hot to the point the mozzarella was melted on top. I asked to ensure the order was correct and received nothing but an attitude. The hostess said that is what we ordered when we order the same cavatelli dinner each time and have never ordered spaghetti. I understand that mistakes are made, but the customer service has been very disappointing as of late.Last week, we were sent a pizza so burnt that it was not edible.We have always loved the food but have had enough with the poor service.

I've been coming here for a long time. Zappitelli's is one of my all-time favorite restaurants. The quality and quantity of the food simply can't be beat.
Fantastic local Italian food. It's very good. The food is very good and high quality plus the rotating deserts they make each day after very very good. I've tried just about every dish and have no complaints. I prefer from here probably twice a week. The service and quality of food is top notch. No real complaints other than on the weekends it can get very very busy. Still worth it.
