We pulled into the parking lot and was immediately locked out by one of the employees. It is currently 7:45 on a Friday night and their hours clearly say they are open until 10pm. Attempted to call multiple times and no one came to the phone, even though there were only 2 tables in the restaurant. Clearly they were not busy.
The place was empty. they have a computer to take the order. They cook and the menu is limited now. No ink machine to print receipt and they were don't know why is does that. Had to see cooks under pants as seen on pick. My husband's sandwich the meat was sliding off u can see in pic also. It was cold setting and won't go again
Placed a mobile order on 2/21/22: Get there, where there's only one car in the whole parking lot & orange cones in front of the menu speaker. Girl at the window asked me if I had a DoorDash. Seems real shady!
My husband and I always loved steak and shake and would have to venture South in order to visit one.. Was so happy when they finally opened up Some restaurants in Ohio . It would be ashamed to see them close. The personnel needs to be a little more friendlier I understand they are going through a lot with the pandemic and the situation but we all are... Please tell them to smile a little more and be a little more friendly... I hope a couple locations especially the mentor one survives...
Staff was great- food was horrible. Haven't had this in a long time and was extremely disappointed. Threw the entire order out-IT WAS THAT BAD. I do not recommend the milkshakes!!! zero milk/dairy in it!
If you don’t have the staff don’t stay open. The food was worse than Sheetz and has the same self serve computers now instead of a cash register. The grill looked disgusting as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a year. My order wasn't right and so when I got home that was a fun surprise. I have a pickle allergy so I had to throw the burger out. I’ve been coming here for over 15 years and after today’s “customer service” I will not be returning. This place should be shut down.
Food was great. Customer service sucked. They use kiosk to take your money and order now. No one interacts with you. But it doesnt stop the glares and the rude comments...
As someone who had been going to Steak n Shake for a long time, I was very disappointed with my recent experience. They have replaced all waitresses and waiters - as they make you place an order on a screen. Maybe it was this and the combination of the restaurant being empty... but it just lost it's old feel... its not the same :(I dont even think they have the hats and cars for the little kids anymore...
Great food, very friendly service, but no more fry seasoning! Ordering is done at a touch screen menu board and the food is prepared quickly. Fairly clean, ample parking, easy to find.
The food and service were great! But, like every other restaurant, they are under-staffed and over worked. Thank you to the staff for hanging in there!
