They cater to businesses and I gotta tell you that it tastes like the food came right off the Sysco truck. Not very tasty, extremely bland and not Italian at all. Their idea of chicken Marsala is a breaded chicken patty & brown gravy w/ mushrooms. How can you call that Italian food? Oh, well. It’s hard to find good Italian food in lake county! So, if you are looking for good Italian food, I would definitely go somewhere else!
Foodis horrible , just can’t seem to get simple Italian food correct is sad. Called and owner was very rude. Reading response to reviews from owner and see I’m not the only one getting a rude response from him. Very sad to work hard for your money and trust to get good food and be very disappointed.
Ordered dinner delivered last night after reading the reviews. I ordered linguine with white clam sauce. My husband ordered the walleye dinner. The linguine with clam sauce was so under seasoned and missing garlic that it tasted like linguine with dish water for the sauce. My husband’s walleye had no taste. I don’t understand the good reviews
Placed takeout order on 03/18/22 for chicken part and STUFFED peppers. Picked up order used coupon and paid $25. cash when price was @$22.75-did not get a receipt allowed server to keep change. When I got home saw that they gave fried peppers instead of stuffed peppers(usually order stuffed)-upset overr order and didnt want to call and get upset if they offered to exchange or replace with the price of gas at $4.29. Since I was going to be in the vicinity on errands today 03/19/22 thought I would call to see if I could pay the difference and get the stuffed peppers today. Telephoned-Female server looked into ticket said she took order and argued(in my opinion) that she took order and asked why I didnt call yesterday-explained why and she said I could place an order and pay for it -period- stated to this server I learned my lesson and am now posting so others can learn from my mistake of not checking order.
Had meatball sub today. HUGE!!! EXCELLENT!!!! Always pleased with their meals!!! Excellent pizza, chicken, veal, and fish also!
My family ordered from here 2x this week for my birthday, and both times, the food was wonderful and huge portions! My only criticism was there were no garlic balls.

Huge thank you to Mama Roberto's and their entire staff. My sister passed away today so I called to place an order for food for my nieces house. They were very caring and empathetic and truly went above and beyond to take care of my request to make this very difficult day a little easier(all in my 3 hour time frame requested). The food is delicious and portions are so generous. Thank you from our entire family. Definitely recommend.
Got door dash and was astounded to get 3 bags full of food. It was "only" 2 orders but easily enough food for 4. I ordered the taste of Italy w lasagna, veal parm, and garlic olive oil noodles (they lacked enough garlic which was only down side). Everything was good from the flavors of lasagna to the not too salty and very tomatoey marinara. Also a huge salad that is not listed on door dash. Ordered an extra well now I need to eat salad the next few days. Also got plain old spaghetti marinara. Huge portion for $13 plus salad and an immense amount of bread w butter. Everything cost about $50 but the flavors and quantity were well worth it.
Update follows initial reviewThey don't do substitutions (I can't eat Italian sausage) or do anything to accommodate their customers. When you ask if they will do something the way they answer and the tone they use makes me just want to walk out tell they can keep their food. They one person is not the most friendly person. They have an established name so they gave up on giving decent and warm customer service. There is so many Italian places to choose from that show appreciation to the customers they chose to give their money to, I will go to those places instead. I don't entertain places that make me feel like I am unwelcome and a bother. The food quality can never override being treated like the way they do. What I am complaining about is one particular person. The owner is friendly and really nice.Update:Owner responded to review and that actually made me feel a lot better. His response made me know he does care. I know that some people in life are going to come across a little abrasive and make other people feel inadequate. Thank you for responding.
