We called ahead to make reservations on a late Saturday afternoon/early dinner (5pm) as we were a party of 7. When we arrived they didn't have our reservation. Luckily they weren't too busy, so they were able to sit us inside, however our reservation we requested outdoor seating. There was live music playing outside, however it was very loud indoors and made it hard to have a conversation with our group. The music was good (80s music) but just too loud to make our meal enjoyable. The beer was good and the food not too bad. We ordered the jumbo Buffalo wings and Montville Mountain fries to share. Both were enjoyed by our party. Most of us (5 out of 7) ordered hambugers. The meal was good but the hamburger buns were small and soggy, which let the meal down. One half of my burger patty was over cooked while the other half was good. I ordered the veggies for my side, which were very tasty broccoli. Our server was Eric ( or at least I think that was his name as it was hard to hear him) was good but not great. All in all I would like to go back and give them another try at same stage. If making a reservation make sure to get your confirmation or if you call get the name of the person you speak to.
We frequent this place. Beautiful country club type setting. The food has your bar food selections, but NOT bar quality. The food is always top notch and their brewery is awesome as well. They have plenty of delicious sandwiches and appetizers to choose from. I love the Bacon and Beef burger and is always amazing. Bacon mixed into the beef before cooking just makes it so flavorful. If you've never been here, stop in for a bite to eat and drink. They have 3 for $25 appetizers during the week. With the average appetizers costing around $12, this is a great deal. You can dress up or down and you'll fit right in. No one there turns up their nose if you're wearing shorts and a tee.One GREAT thing about this place.....You can reserve a table in advance. The table is reserved for 2.5 hours, 2.5 hours is a lot of time. I think that this is a great idea. If you take more than that to eat and a few drinks, well everyone knows your type. And that type never learned how to share as a young child.
Great service, great brews & great food! A lot of greatness happening here.
Had a great time! Great staff. Wonderful food!!! Beers and cocktails! Most definitely will be back.
Blue Heron is in the back of an upscale subdivision. It’s a nice place. Decent parking available. There are about 13 brews to choose from. A flight is 12.00 for four 5 oz pours. The hazy wife, hazy life is really good. The brown ale and the cobblestone is also really good. The strawberry matrimony was really really good if you like strawberries. Very summery and refreshing. The food here looks really good and they have a good happy hour menu from 4-6. This is a good line up and great place for a date (Wednesday night couples get a full experience for 50.00).
One of the best fish fries around and the shrimp was perfect!
What a wonderful place for Sunday brunch! The Hail Mary is legendary, mimosas are marvelous and there are so many innovative menu options it's hard to choose just one. Can't wait to come back and try all the good food and beverages.
The food was cold and one persons order was sent very late while the rest of us ate. My husband was the only one who got the crab stuffed steak and he became really Ill 30 minutes later- we barely made it home- vomiting -the works-food poisoning. It’s a cute PLACE and was super busy but we won’t be back. The waitress was really nice and tried her best. I’m concerned about the kitchen! ! !!
Been wanting to visit for awhile and finally got to go to Blue Heron Brewery/Brewpub on date night with my wife. The brewpub is adjacent to the brewery and floor to ceiling glass gives you a great view, but in the evening there is no activity in the brewery so it's kind of a letdown. The brewpub itself had a nice layout with a bar, high boy tables and chairs, and regular tables, but the LED lighting was too bright for our tastes and detracted from the atmosphere. Speaking of tastes -- nice looking brewpub menu and the food was very good & portions were large; drinks are another story. A mistake was made on my wife's cocktail -- twice. The beer is good -- I had a wheat beer -- but it is advertised as a 16 oz pour, and although served in a 16 oz glass, it was not filled to the top.
We had our wedding and reception at Blue Heron in the Heron room and it was more than we could have ever wished for! First, their staff is amazing! EVERY person we came in contact with was friendly and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Britney and Bethany were fabulous in every way! Anything we asked for was answered with “we got you, consider it done!”, and it was done to perfection. The venue was beautiful, the food amazing, but again, the staff is what made everything so special! We dropped off our decorations and they had it set up beautiful. At the end of the night they packed everything up for us to pick up the next day. Thank you everyone there for being so wonderful!
