Lunch fare was tasty enough, paired with an Ohio beer, while the tab of more than $40 was steep for not much. We will not return.
Reviews were promising so we decided to check out 17 public square and left a little let down. Maybe our expectations were too high going in? We settled on the schnitzel and fried chicken plates.The fried chicken came out with an amazing thick and crispy crust and was well cooked on the inside as well. I opted for the fries instead as a side and the taste was great but the portion size was pretty small. I had maybe 5 good fries (they are thick) but the rest were either those weird shriveled up fries or small pieces.If that's the only meal ordered I'd rate this a 4 but the schnitzel was a disappointment. It came out thick instead of the normal thin piece which could be fine but it was dry and not all that tasty. Our waitress said it was her favorite so I fully accept that everyone has their preference but for us it just wasn't that good. Mac and cheese that came on the side was also just ok.If we come back I'd go with a burger or handheld, a lot of them looked good and may have been better options.
Great food, service and ambiance. My husband and I frequent 17 Public Square when we are in the Medina area. We’ve never had a bad meal or service.We generally sit at the bar and enjoy the specials and regular menu. I love all of the burgers on the menu, but my favorite is the fig burger! The Chicago sandwich is also fantastic! The fries are so tasty, have a nice rosemary seasoning to them.I know they are looking to change their menu soon, and while most items will stay, I’m looking forward to see what yummy new creations there are!
Great lunch spot. Mac n cheese was so creamy, meatball sub was gooey, and the fries are amazing! Our waitress who had just come back from college was so sweet. Would definitely go back.
We love everything about 17 Public Square. The decor is beautiful authentic vintage. The food is unique, creative and delicious. The staff is professional, fun, ambitious, happy, enthusiastic and effective. We enjoy regular weekly dining at 17PS, but we also had the best day of our lives there…reserving the entire restaurant for our amazing wedding day.
The food was delicious, the service was okay. We came here on a Friday night and waited about 15 minutes to get a table, not bad. The food was good. We had the soft pretzels with cheese sauce to start, the pretzels were flavorful and perfectly soft. The fried chicken was crispy and well seasoned. The fries with the burgers are so well cooked, they're crispy and flavorful. The service was ok, our waiter was friendly but it felt odd when he handed us our check before we were even halfway through our entrees, like maybe 5 minutes after they were served. I thought maybe they were closing soon and he was trying to get checks closed out, but after looking at my watch they didn't close for another hour. The table next to us was further through their meal and didn't have their check yet. Not sure what was going on but this certainly turned us off.
Delicious food. Good selection of beers. My girlfriend said she could eat everything on the menu. Food was like home cooked meals, comfort food. Good atmosphere. Good location. Definitely will come back!
Great place, Great food, but forsomeone recovering from a lower ack injury. The wooden chairs are a bit hard

We ordered carry out on a weekday, and when we called to place an order it was 15 min before the kitchen opened. Whomever took our order made sure to inform me that calling so early wasn't acceptable. I've worked in restaurants for decades and we would take the order and inform the customer that we would send it to the kitchen after our computers would allow us to send it back to kitchen, and not provide attitude of inconvenience. The food was exceptional! Unfortunately, due to the poor customer service, we will not be returning.
