We had just left kings island and wanted a really good lunch. Typed in pizza or Italian into Yelp and this place has the best reviews.Ambiance of the restaurant is just cool.. the bathrooms mimic Subway cars and the restaurant is just cool with happy people.Service was wonderful- friendly, professional and overall great experience. I cannot remember our waitresses name but she was super friendly- and a new teacher to Mason- congrats.I love that you can get Chicago and New York type pizzas here. Both were pretty good. We love a good cheese pizza and that can be hard to find. :). This place definitely makes the top ten as far as flavor but I found the New York pizza a bit buttery/greasier then I’d like. It was pretty good not but not a good cold pizza for me.As far as the Chicago pizza, it’s been about a decade since I have had Chicago pizza and I thought this was good but not as good as I remember from back then. The crust was a bit drier then I would like but otherwise the flavor was really good.We also got the cheese bread and loved it!At the end of the night when we were talking I asked him what his favorite part of the meal was and it was the same as mine— the house salad we shared…. Super fresh, basic but a bit of everything we like in a salad and the dressing was really good..We were so full at the end but the small little donut holes they bring out at the end are just wonderful- light balls of goodness.. loved them!! Ate way too much so overall- awesome! Also, he ordered more alcohol then normal and I suspect it’s because 1. I am the driver and i don’t drink. 2. They gave him a couple samples and he LOVEd the Irish one and had a couple beers :)
Great place for a non chain pizza night. We only got the New York style which was nice and yeasty and chewy. We got the Gotham Gangsta which had chicken, bacon, chives and bbq sauce. It was excellent. A medium specialty pizza was 19.99. It was enough for two people to share. Get some of their Ranch dressing, it was fantastic. Our kids got a medium with bacon and sausage. Neither one had any complaints. We did call ahead and checked in when we got there. We were seated in less than five minutes. There is outdoor seating but it is first come first serve. All in all, I think this is definitely on par with Dewey's and has the same kind of non traditional pies that are very different from your typical chain.
Worth making a trip if you don't live nearby! Both the New York style and the Chicago deep dish pizzas are great. We had the Capone deep dish and the New York Classic Margherita. Both were top notch. There was plenty of basil on the Margherita, something that can be lacking at other pizzareas. The Capone will satisfy a hearty appetite. Both types of crust are well crafted and the chunky sauce is what pizza sauce is meant to be. A must stop for pizza lovers in Cincinnati.
First off, the pizza is fine. But how good is the question. The problem here is cost and portion size. It's way too expensive for what you get. The other issue is authenticity. The Chicago pies are not thick enough and the NY style is way too small. With that being said, their space is impressive and their restrooms are apparently "the best" in the US as awarded by Cintas. The loos are subway themed. Why a restaurant would honor a place and imply that subways are restrooms is cynical. I realize this is nitpicky but you see what I mean. So, go hear if you want to overspend for average pizza and long waits. There are definitely better pizza places in the Cincinnati area.
This is a must stop if you happen to be in Mason, Ohio and are hungry for some good pizza. The staff was super friendly when we were sat down and our waiter was super courteous and polite when he took our order. The food the wifey and I ordered was the small Chicago style pizza and that was just enough for us. Before we left, Bryan the manager came over to our table to ask how the food and our experience was since it was our first time here. After speaking with Bryan, we can see why Two Cities Pizza Co. is successful and ran in a professional manner. Kudos to Bryan and his staff. I highly recommend this restaurant for your next pizza crave.
I met up with two friends last night for a girls night. We had never been here before so we ordered a lot of different foods to try. The server (Alyssa) was sweet and patient and never left me thirsty, and the the manager (Chris) stopped by to chat since he heard it was our first time and brought us a little dish of Funnelcake donuts to try. My favorite was the New York style pizza with mashed potatoes on it, and the Mac n cheese bites, fried pickles and the best ranch dressing I’ve ever had. I would recommend 100%. We were so hungry we didn’t get pics til after we ate, but even our leftovers are picture worthy.
I love it!! The decor is very Art Deco when you first walk in, the food is amazing, we had Mac and cheese fritters so delicious, the Chicago deep dish called the Capone, absolutely perfect, so cheesy and delicious, and we even got some delicious donut holes for it being our first time here, I wish there was an option for giving 10 STARS!!!! Great job we will be back!!!!!
Food is excellent! Absolutely LOVE their sauce!! Parking is limited. We decided to try this place out since we were in the area. We were told 20min wait, ended up being over 40 mins. Found out the Call ahead seating customers were being seated before us. We only had 2 in our party & parties of 3-5 were being seated before us. Was it worth the wait? Ultimately, yes it was. However, I’d definitely use call ahead upon returning & my reason for the 4 rating instead of 5. **Get the deep dish, it’s as good as being in Chicago**
It’s not only delicious, but it’s also a super friendly place with beautiful ambiance too. The pizza is incredible. Can’t wait to go back.
2 1/2 hours into our “it’ll be 45 minutes” wait Waiting on a “party room” for 8 of us… which is stupid Can we push two tables together in the bar? Nope Can we take two tables in the restaurant? Uh uh. No. You have to wait for the 1 yr olds birthday party to end in the party room… that should’ve ended 90 minutes ago but they brought cake! Can we sit in the party room since half the tables are empty? Ahhhh hahahaha Fuhgeddaboutit! So 2 cities is NY and Chicago style pizza. Well. They treat you like New York… absolute ?service and response. Even had some Assist Mgr try to seat us and he got shot down.. First time-last time. Dewey’s off of Cox Road. Save yourself the aggravation
