The food was very good, the portions were generous. The atmosphere was good if your looking for a sports pub atmosphere. However, the service left a lot to be desired. The wait staff spent more time in the back corner of the resturant talking among themselves as opposed to seeing the the customers required any other items.We were served appetizers and our food without setups and had had to ask several tines for silverware and napkins. The servers acted like it was an inconvenience to get the silverware. It took three servers to have the silverware and napkins delivered.We asked for extra napkins and they were never delivered.Parking: A large parking lot
Fantastic service and food. Fish and chips lived up to its name, best I've had in a long time. Portions and price were better than most anywhere these days. Breanna was an excellent server, very prompt and friendly. If we weren't 3 hrs away this would be a regular!
My family and I enjoyed our dining experience. The Chicken Nachos Appetizer, which my wife ordered as her main course, was enough to feed a minimum of two people. The Chicken was juicy and flavorful, and coated in melted cheese, fresh jalapenos and green onion. I ordered the Traditional Reuben was chock full of fresh made and tender corned beef, swiss cheese, tender sauerkraut on toasted marble rye bread. A delicious Reuben sandwich. The thick cut fries were delicious dipped in either ketchup or barbecue sauce or just plain. Our son ordered the Chicken Tenders from the kids menu and he loved the crispy coating and juicy chicken. For dessert my friend and I enjoyed the Bread Pudding coated in bourbon sauce and topped with vanilla ice cream. A great way to end a delicious meal.Parking: There is sufficient parking in front of the building because it is in a strip mall.
Very good fried foods. The waiters are decent. Highly recommend the fried pickles, though! The beer selection is great, as well. We tried a lot of different beers, and there were a ton on tap.
We love this place. The mussels and shrimp are always my go to. Fried mushrooms for the appetizer. And you have to try the carrot cake. So good!!
Our Sunday bartender was great! Burgers wonderful. Mushrooms were really great.
Let me preface by saying we understand and appreciate what restaurant servers are dealing with and we always compensate good service highly. We were seated and ignored, even when directly trying to speak to servers, so I visited the bar where Brea offered to serve our table. She was already serving 10 tables but promptly took care of us while still staying current with her other customers. She went above and beyond. Food was great tasting, served hot, well priced. We'd stop here again while in the area.
First time @ The Old Bag of Nails. The inside is pretty spacious, nice sit down bar area too.Our waiter was great, very friendly and attentive. We had a long wait for our food, but I get it in light of the staff shortage that has plagued our nation since "the rona". Kids enjoyed the chicken/burger and fries.I could do without the huge TV right at our table, it was annoyingly distracting as I tried to hold conversation with my friends.
I want nothing more but to love this place. The bartenders cater to the regulars and make it hard to get a drink. We ordered a shot, the bartender made it, left it in the mixing cup, and served 6 other people. Service is the worst!! They need to fire the regular bartender!!!! They make it difficult to like it there. They have the best and worst wings I’ve ever had. The first time we had them, they were amazing and the next they were overcooked and hard. Try at our own risk.
