Ate here for dinner one night. 4 adults 3 children. We thought the prices were reasonable, considering you're at a resort like this. The special was a $15 cod meal and two of us got that and they said it was delicious. Kids meals were good and boys ate it all. I just ordered the house salad and an order of hot pretzels and it was great. The salad was very generous for just a side salad. Our waiter was super and he checked back often and kept drinks filled. Overall a really great experience!
Since we bought a meal plan, we ended up getting dinner at the Lodge Wood Fired Grill. The food was not cheap, but at least our meal plan covered it all. The burger I ordered wasn't too bad, but the fries were too seasoned to my kids liking.
We were ready to order from this location because we were staying at the water park, and we were prepared to pay more for the convenience. However, when I went to ask about the menu options, the person at the bar was so rude, only answering my questions with curt one word answers, that I was extremely hesitant to order. I then looked over the menu to find that it was abbreviated. I asked if this was the whole menu because I was aware after looking online that there was much more that they serve, and I was told, " that is the entirety of the menu. " The menu that I was given did not have any wine options, and I asked if they also have takeout for bottles of wine. The answer: yes. I asked what kind of wine they serve, and if he had a menu. He told me there was no menu, which was incorrect because it's online, and he told me they only serve red and white. Considering that I was speaking to the bartender, I expected some knowledge of what was served - looking online, I could see well over 10 different options. We decided not to order food - which is strange because I'm leaving a review about this place and I don't usually do this - I just could not trust that the food would have any more care than the person who I was talking to at the bar. We were very disappointed considering that we were willing to pay exorbitant prices for what seemed like the same food that was served in the water park.
Limited menu and bad food, may as well have been the restaurant by the water parks - avoid at all cost which you will pay if you eat here
The first thing we heard from the bartender was his response to someone asking for a fork. After being asked he asked the patron if he wanted a left-handed fork or a right-handed Fork! We found that quite hilarious! And he was like that the whole time we were there. Looking forward to chatting again soon.
Breakfast buffet had a few selections, waffles, eggs, hard as rock Biscuits, gravy, potatoes & peppers, fruit, and french sticks. I possibly missed something and menu might change.
Good food food service wil definitely eat here again next time we come to great wolf lodge!
Place was nice wasn't to happy with the food or service. It was supposed to be a buffet and it wasn't. The prices were very high for food that wasn't that good. I watched my party of 4 food be prepared all to have it pushed aside to get pick up orders out. Highly recommend bringing food or going elsewhere to eat. Came to celebrate my daughters birthday based off someone else's recommendation never again. I'll give the Great Wolf Lodge in Sandusky (which is closer to me)a try before I write them off completely.
