We have been guilty of eating here multiple days a week. The food and service are both wonderful. When trying to decide where to eat, our kids always ask for Mi Jalepeno.
We have ate at many, many Mexican restaurants from as far North as Wisconsin to as far South as the Florida Keys out West in California to East in Pennsylvania and no one, I repeat NO ONE can compare to Mi Jalepeno! Every single plate has been delicious. We eat here weekly. We are so lucky to have this hidden gem in our little ol’ M-Town!
Mi Jalapeno is our favorite restaurant in town. They always have GREAT service, good food and reasonable prices. But today is a special day, it's Cinco de Mayo ... Come on out and join the festive staff and get your pictures w the Great Speedy ... Let's post them and celebrate together, while your at it leave great reviews for the awesome staff !!!
Our waiter was good but we asked to move 2 tables together to accommodate the 15 people we had. He made it happen after telling us we couldn’t have the back room bc they had just cleaned it. then this short Spanish woman was bussing dishes and walking around with a cart drying and glaring at us the entire time and made us very uncomfortable.Then I see a big group of ppl go into the back room they “cleaned” and be seated and served by the same Spanish woman glaring at us. We had reservations ahead of time too and no one else did when we called. Horrible experience
This place is an absolute joke anymore. This is the 4th time I have been here and have got cold food, cold cheese and horrible service. I tell the waiter what was wrong he takes my plate back to the kitchen to get it “hot again” to get it back at luke warm temp with everything greasy and no crisp….. that’s the side effects of a MICROWAVE!!! I could have done that at home. I sent all the food back and still had to pay 33$ bill for it no discount, no I’m sorry nothing.You guys are horrible at your job and you clearly can’t serve hot food which blows my mind considering it’s cooked in the kitchen and brought to the table??? Please explain how that works. Stay far far far far far away. Would not go back if I was paid to
If you are Marion trash then this place is for you, however if you have an ounce of taste and actually know what half decent food is go somewhere else. This is some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. I don’t understand how this place has the reviews it has. The queso cheese was melted shredded mozzarella, the sausage on top was bland and oily. I had the fajitas with chicken steak and shrimp, and it was dry and bland. The waitstaff forgot many things about our orders. I understand penny pinching but pizza mozzarella for Queso?? What is wrong with you.
My wife and I had the steak and chicken enchilada burritos with Mexican rice and beans with cheese top knotch quality everytime. The mango daiquiri I had however was different from the last time more watered down it seemed. The time prior to that it had a kick that was bang for your buck. Hopefully next time
It’s clean in there , but however the food is made with 0 love like it used to . The food came out smelling like dog food and the rice looked like it was put in the microwave . An the service ?? It’s a pushy feeling like they don’t want you there honestly .
Extremely affordable pricing and wonderful wait staff. Nothing wrong with the food it’s just average. Did not care for the salsa because it was very bland but everything else was OK, not the best I’ve had not the worst.
Very good prices and tasty food. There was a service or kitchen mixup, we had a large group with separate orders and one order arrived very late, the rest of us were almost done when it came out.
